I'm gonna go and build a PC...THEN...i'm gonna buy it...my mom wants to buy the basic upgrade now because it's only 99 bucks...but I need new ram, a better GFX card, and a new DVD drive since mine just crapped out.

I saw on a commercial that it was about $179? XP was 300 when it was released.

And you know what you are talking about? Don't come with posts like that if you don't have any facts. You only say what you think vista is like. I've been using windows vista for 2 months now, and i think I know what I'm talking about. I know a guy who runs vista on a 32 mb shared gfx card, 512 mb ram. Not AERO tho.

Ive tried it out just yet, took me a few mins to realize XP is better. Vista SUCKS ASS. now reinstalling XP

Im running Vista now and think its gr8 despite little improvement form xp its seems and feels better than xp

Xp - 2002

Today is in 2007, im upgrading ASAP

just about any pc can handle Vista if you turn off Aero

you will need vista to use DX10 btw...

The Directx 10 thing does not leave gamers a choice but to upgrade.
