Temperatures okay?
« on: April 07, 2014, 04:32:38 PM »

Just recently bought an Alpenföhn Sella, before with the stock cooler it went up to 80°C and I'm not sure if 62°C are okay as max termperature for that old dual core.

from 80° to 62°, it's a good change though by replacing the CPU Fan!
it's alright!  :euro:

62° with 100% cpu usage is actually really good. When you go idle it should be like 30°~ ish

The picture was taken while the PC was idling, after I played Path of Exile for like half an hour. I just got curious because I saw a video of an 4770k which idled at 15°C with an similiar fan, but I guess newer CPU's are more efficient in terms of heat production.

The other day I tried a render in blender, with like 4xFSAA, 1xAO and a 1080p resolution and the highest the CPU went was 64°C.

sorry for bump!
you can always clean your CPU up from the accumulated dust and apply thermal paste on it, this is a dependable tip!
today i've just finished cleaning my laptop up and i found alot of dust stuck in the heat sink so i cleaned it up and the fan too and i went from 50-70 degree celsius to 35-50 degree celsius!

64°c is absolutely fine!  :P
