Today is the last day you can send your stunts, thanks for everyone who participated. This topic will be updated every now and then with editing progress.

All my respect to RAD but I'd have rejected it if I didn't think it fit into the video, but it was a good looking stunt.

what kind of bullshit is 'it didn't fit into the video' ?  :cheersad:

no wonder any of us veterans never stick around anymore.

When I decide to spend hundred hours of work on a project I do once a year, I guess I have the right to pick the stunts I'd like to use and everyone is informed that this would be the case. I appreciate the effort being put in a stunt and it upsets me to "reject" stunts but I'd like to organize something people want to see, and thats hard to achieve. Adding the fact I do upset a lot of people while doing it, but only those who take it personally... but I find no reason for that.

Don't blame the community for something I do, I'm more than certain there are dozens of other collabs that get organized differently and more friendly. I make these projects because I have fun doing them and I do them for the community. There are people who want to make videos purely for fun with no care for quality, and thats good. But not everyone has to be like that. Me on the other side, I like to make projects that maintain high-quality stunting-wise and especially editing-wise, I also try to make them very professional and make them standout from all the other content the other editors put out, call it competitive if you will.

So yeah, thats what I have to say about the bullshit you didn't like.

Not saying you don't have the right to deny or accept stunts, nor that you ought to accept any shitty left-over like stunt thats sent your way. If it's no good, then say so from the start; i'm a grown man that can handle rejection.

However, when you happily accept it, then the next day reject it for something as fickle as 'it doesn't fit in', it gives me the impression either you or someone else has a problem with my stunt, or me personally.
I can think of two reasons off the top of my head, if you wanna tell me via PM, thats cool.

You can accept a stunt thinking it's in the realms of what you're looking for, but when it comes to editing, you're trying to paint a picture. Every stunt needs to tell a story, and progress from one another. So you might get a bunch of stunts you like, but then you've got to make a video that people will enjoy for years to come. That's the challenge, that's what he's talking about. If you're aiming for high-level editing, putting every great stunt in the video isn't the answer.

Guess there was a bit of a misunderstanding, I never meant I'd accept something then reject it the next day because it doesn't fit. I meant that it gets rejected if it doesn't fit, from the very beginning.

I'm sorry everyone to have been forced to announce this, but a lot of people started pulling their stunts out and I have no time to reorganize for the rest of the stunts to fill the video up... I'm quite very upset for making you wait this long for nothing, I really wanted to do this but I can't now. Feel free to send your stunts else where obviously.
