DDR3 RAM wouldn't fit in a DDR2 slot.
DDR3 RAM wouldn't fit in a DDR2 slot.Make a bootable usb of Memtest86 and test it on your old ram by itself, your new ram by itself, then both together. Also when putting ram in motherboard, make sure there's a space between them: - if you have room for 4 sticks of ram make sure they're installed like this: (|) ( ) (|) ( ) or in slots 2 and 4. Also check timings in bios to see if they are the same.
