Concerning the WR for taxi height in VC

I have a very strong feeling Eva is a modder, I don't know who's with me here...

And she never showed us the replay, so should we say her record is invalid? If so, we could go back to the previous record holder, which I believe was Grimm, but nobody probably has the replay or the picture... somebody should remember how high it was though

Dunno, I have had more height than *it* (I honestly don't know), but then again, I used a Logitech mx500 mouse with the scroll lock off (I'd recommend it to anyone who's into rollboosting, it's mousewheel basically works like any wheel with a bearing, you give it some momentum by spinning it & it basically keeps spinning for about a minute by itself).

A fifth option is to not care about any 'official' record and just regard anything over 1200ft to be quite an accomplishment. Any taxi height record is sketchy at best considering it records your height after you've stopped touching whatever building you're climbing, so...

EDIT: Also, anyone can adjust their american.gxt so that stats read whatever they want. So even if they recorded the stunt live, it could still be falsified and look perfectly legit.

Well there's no way to control that... I mean Grimm used the Turbo function on a joypad and that's just as fucked, but it's still legal, even though it's a pretty unfair advantage. It's like the whole "more FPS gives better speeds" debate in SA

But let's remember that rollboosting is for losers, all the cool kids use Num0
Also I'm pretty sure it's possible to get equal results from tapping really fast as with rollboosting (in VC, not SA lol)

Edit: if nobody is going to object to this within a week or something, I'll say we just start over and create a new limbo topic. I don't think most people give a fuck

There is no way to control if someone mods any other WR as well, rollboosting is necessary in SA to get high boosts but it's not essential in VC so I'd say it should be forbidden.

and yeah I don't think most people care really, Eva and Grimm are long gone and it's just a record anyways, more fun to do it all over and have a limbo.

Let me rephrase: there's no way to see if somebody rollboosts, as opposed to if somebody uses handling mods.

Realistically it's never going to be forbidden, but those who use it have to live with the knowledge that they're douchbags! bwahaha
