French Music? (w/lyrics)
« on: October 11, 2011, 05:32:48 PM »
So my mom is learning french and wants to listen to some french music with lyrics so she can work with the texts. I guess it's a long shot, but since there are a lot of french stunters on here I thought I'd ask you guys if you know anything appropriate! Thanks in advance :)

Serge Gainsbourg - Ballade de Melody Nelson

Might be a bit weird to understand but what he says is not that hard. A french legend.

I agree with Nuc, but this cover is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Enjoy!

Elysian Fields - Les amours perdues (Serge Gainsbourg cover)

and I also recommend Les Doigts De L'Homme

Les Doigts De L'Homme - Zinedine Tzigane

I also recommend Serge Gainsbourg, "Histoire De Melody Nelson" is the album that I rated 10/10 the easiest, ever. Truly a masterpiece, "Initials B.B." and "L'Homme Ă  la TĂȘte de Chou" are also pretty great.

There's also plenty of incredible black metal and darkwave bands in France, look for them on rateyourmusic.com.
