2 monitors

hello everione i have a litle question here.
i have 2 VGA monitors
one is connected with a DVI VGA connector
and i want to connect the other one ( i have no VGA DVI ports avaliable)
so my idea was
buy a vga to dvi cable and plug it in to a dvi hdmi connector.
will it work? or will i lose a lot of quality?(its a small monitor 1024 res)

It would be a lot better. Im also with DVI and I wanted to buy a HDMI port but I couldnt find. Go for it!
