Now I am not really as involved into the hip hop scene as I am into punk/ hardcore, at least here where I live since there a lot of douche bags listening to something they call hip hop. Anyway, I do have a few artists from the hip hop genre that I really appreciate.

Atmosphere, their lyrics are actually really deep and meaningful, well, at least to me.

Atmosphere - Trying to Find a Balance
Every time I listen to that song I get this nostalgic feeling that brings back the good memories of my childhood which I do need especially during this stressful time.

Hyro da Hero, I actually found out about him just recently, but so far I like his songs. He shows off a great variety of styles.

Hyro Da Hero - Ghetto Ambiance - Kerrang! video exclusive!
I think everyone that hears that song will notice the RATM resemblance

The next artists are mainly for the Germans around here :
Prinz Pi, might have heard of him. His lyrics always mind setting and create a unique feeling

Prinz Pi - Unendlich sein feat. Casper

This song is actually featuring my favorite rapper of all time : Casper
He actually brought me back to rap after I had been grossed out by those gangster rappers, but his lyrics are so deep and thoughtful that they make you think about life yourself

Casper - Kontrolle/Schlaf (Studio Version!)
gotta love the post-rock influence
