no you don't, the single player campaign is like 4 hours (and that's being generous) and the MP is done better elsewhere.

I was told the SP was about the same as black ops and the MP.. iuno.. COD going the way of failed devs, TF2 being whored by valve.. there really aren't many good options anymore :/

I get a terrible frame rate and the bullet wounds take a long time to heal so respawn times are ridiculous

Im my eyes Black Ops was the only fail in the Call of Duty franchise. Sure the are very similar but i still love them. The problem with BO was Treyarch. They tried to listen to every single people and add a ton off stuff into the game. Trying to stop quickscoping was just a terrible idea aswell. It is one of the only things that makes CoD fell kind of unique etc, it was fine in the other CoD games but i agree it was too qu8ick/ crazy in MW2 for non-quickscopers. I understand why people would hate on it but there are lots of people like me who love it.

Anyway on topic. I have Homefront on Xbox. It does seem pretty different from other games but i have only played Multiplayer on TDM. Its decent to play most of the time but some parts just seem incredible sloppy and seemed like they were just damn right lazy. Everytime you start up the game you have to select the storage device to load the game from, when you try to join a multiplayer game it trys to reserve a slot in a lobby and if it fails then it just stop and doesnt try to join another so you have to exit out and try to join another, the homefront servers for xbox have been pretty shit and it keeps saying unable to connect even though the day before release and on the day of release they were working perfectly fine (they do seem to be working ok atm though), when you leave a lobby it take you back 2 menus when it would be much better if it just took you back 1 because you have to select xbox like and then a gametype.
I have heard a few things about the campaign but i have not played it myself yet. From what i have heard it is pretty slow and there are a few annoying parts e.g. you try to crawl under a fence and get stuck on an invisible wall there is no way of telling why but the reason is a member of you squad has to go in front on you and go first, and on one mission you have to wait outside starring at a door waiting for a few of you squad to go round and open the door for you. Apparently you should not buy this game for the single player because it isnt that great, but for the multiplayer side it is fairly different in the sense that you get point for things like kills and destroying vehicles and can use them to buy things like attack drones and choppers.
Its a game that i would play for a while to rank up and after that i would still play it every now and again for something different. I would rate it a 7/10 for the multiplayer side.

lol i think thats a full review  :ninja:
Longest post ive ever done i think, i cbf to check through for mistakes so some parts might not make sense.

Finished Crysis 2 at 5 in the morning after a marathon session :euro:

The suit stuff works a lot better than in the first game, speed + power jumping while cloaked was quite useful, as was the ability to grab ledges to get up on stuff. I didn't really see the point of power kicking cars on to people or throwing stuff to kill them because it was unreliable at best. The stealth knife of death however got a lot of use, mostly because I played on the hardest difficulty where armor mode didn't really last long out in the open, at least against some enemies. And of course the standard laming with cloak was quite effective, de-cloak, headshot, cloak again in less than a second. Rinse repeat.

Despite my lame tactics I died A LOT, that big robot thingy that needs to be shot in the ass with like 4 rockets to kill made me rage hard a few times. Tossing 4 packs of c4 on it pretty much instantly killed it, but I only had enough for that once :euro: One thing that could have killed me came halfway through the game, suddenly, QUICKTIME EVENT! Sort of anyway, you didn't die horribly for pressing the wrong button, but you were not ready at all for it since it had never happened before.

Dying brings you back to the nearest checkpoint, no more quicksave laming. Some checkpoints could have been better placed, I knifed like twenty guys in a rather large area and picked up some new weapons, only to die like a retard and having to do it all again.

It runs a lot better than the first game, which sometimes would slow to a crawl for no reason. Most notably in warhead in the mission where you ride on some train and shoot baddies, I would drop to like 16 fps until the train stopped for something, and everything would be fine until the exact moment it started moving again. In this game however, I played maxed out (whatever that is, the options menu doesn't let you choose anything except low, medium, high and extreme) at 1680x1050 and never really noticed any lag (Phenom 2 X4 955 @ 3.8 ghz, 4 gigs of ram and a HD5870). It looks about as good as the first game I guess, with the exception of some textures which are pretty fucking terrible at times. And you can't beat a tropical island as a setting of course, sorry New York :P

The story was better than the previous games, but I don't understand why they would make you a silent protagonist. It's like they were trying to go the HL2 route but it just feels strange when you could talk just fine in the first one. I have a theory about why they did it but I don't wanna spoil anything :ninja:

A bit more of the same, but slightly different and more polished than the original makes it a solid experience. I haven't had the time to play any multiplayer yet though, so I can't comment on that.
