at first I downloaded SS's 'user friendly' game but it doesn't want to start, then I downloaded the game from the mirror in the first post, finished all the steps in the readme and when I press New Game the game crashes 

any suggestions?

Try deleting the 'streammemfix.asi' from my version, and then try again.
