I got all my settings turned to low. Even FL off.

Reinstall fraps, worth a shot.

Its always worth trying different version of fraps.
The first version of fraps i had was great, and for some reason i got a slightly newer version and it lagged every time i hit record.

Might work, might not.
Its worth a try isn't it ?

I have BeaT's Fraps and it's good   I lost it and have same problem too
