i have the 80GB ipod classic and it was acting funky so i decided to reset it. it just pops up the apple logo makes an internal clicky noise. turns off for a second, then comes on agasin. the process repearts over and over and over. ive hooked up to speakers. my computer ecognizes it sometimes. and it can go into disk mode. i restored it but it still does this...

i had the same problem yesterday... jsut connect to another computer and it will ask if u wanna restore... press yes, and then it will ask if u wanna create a new library for sync song... press no... then disconnect without turning the connection of it on windows hardware manager... just pull it off the USB... connect in ur computer again and dont create a new library... have fun ;D

hope that this work for u ;D

if its clicking it sounds like the hard drive is dead. at least thats what happens when a hard drive in a computer dies

Dude, you live in New York. Take the nearest underground and you are there. Shouldn't take that much time for a firefighter of 31 years old, who is free most of his time right?
