Crosshatch effect?
« on: July 22, 2008, 07:04:43 AM »
I've looked to the BJ's bike skinning tutorial and saw the ''Crosshatch'' effect.

I really don't know how to do it, so can someone make a tutorial of it ?

There have already been told how to do that effect in the tutorial..

...first, I've added noise by going Filter > Noise > Add Noise, then gone to Filter > Brush Strokes > Crosshatch...
Shouldn't be that hard to read..

It's a filter or whatever, look around in the effects thing.

Change the noise / crosshatch settings lower. You should be able to adjust different things, the ammount, size, lenght etc..

What GT-7 said, shouldn't be too hard to do as you already know how to apply it.

now thats a useful bump! lol

In the gimp i found that if you go to

filters > artistic > GIMPressionist

you'll find crosshatch though in my old 2.2 version of the gimp all the effects there do the same thing so you might need a newer gimp, though the effect they do is vry much like crosshatch.
