http://www.vasst.com/training/Vegasplugs.htm

really good onse are for example: Boris FX, NewBlue FX and Magic Bullet FX wich cost lots of money.

Since warez talk isn't allowed I suggest you to find them yourself. Also, it's very possible to make your own transitions. But I guess you're not really interested in video editing that much, so good luck searching

I tried 2 months ago, but unfortunately Wax plugins are only Vegas 4.0 compatible. I offer rather Pixelan or NewBlue FX plugins.

Magic Bullet and NewBlue FX are 2 really great plugins with a lot of good transitions.
I tried Boris FX and it sucks tbh, probably because I just don't like this program in program stuff...
Magic Bullet Misfire is great for "oldschool/grindhouse" editing. It has almost every film damage effect inside(grain/dust particles/displacement etc.).

Another idea would be using the pan/crop mask. You can create your own transitions with it. I saw a tutorial anywhere long time ago.
Check http://style-productions.net I think it was there anywhere.
