k, right now im trying to edit a video im making in windows movie maker, but when i tried to import files that were uploaded to the computer from a digi cam, it says "this file is not indexed and cannot be imported"...help me!!!

need more detail dude, like what camera, what format they are saved as, movie maker or movie maker 2 etc... If it's .avi format try loading them through Virtualdub and saving as .avi again. If it's .mpg I have no clue. If it was .mov then good luck, it won't be easy!

the cam is a ... nikon cool pix, mm1, saved as .mov
