Haywire has virus problems :(
« on: June 01, 2007, 09:02:50 PM »
sidgyation:
my brothers laptop has had a virus attack. we've done a scan using Avast, which found a few things yet the virus still remains. the laptop is connected to the same router my pc uses, and for some reason, even when the laptop is turned off, my internet speeds are fucking slow. wtf?

what im asking for:
a solution, maybe even a tool which shows what programs/processes are connected to the internet. if you can solve my problem, 15000 points is going into your pocket.

thankyou.

That is a very weird problem. Are you sure it might not just be your internet provider who might have some issues in their services? Call/E-mail and ask them. If the problem isn't on their side, I believe that something is  blocking up all of your bandwidth.

don't email them if your speed is 5kbps

Righty, Joes method to everything.

Equipment you may require
A Hammer
A RPG
A phone (to tell your ISP what has happened)
A new router.

Right. Now to start
1
Pick up the hammer, and build a bench out of air.
2
Grab the RPG and blow up your enemies house
Now that you are focussed...
4
Grab your router, and smash it up with your hands, if any tools are used, you fail at life and your problem won't be fixed
5
Stamp on your router
6
Phone your ISP and tell them that your internet won't work, explain the situation you have regarding the router, wait for them to hang up, then get a new ISP as they probably just broke their contract.
