Computer Problem
« on: May 14, 2007, 12:23:04 AM »
Guys! There's something wrong with my comp.. Everytime I press the power button, the tower turns on but then the monitor doesn't come on.. Then i pull the plug, turn it on again, it still doesn't work! After trying it for a while and it still doesn't work so I give it a break..

When I turn it back on, it works.. When I get to the desktop, it says something about my display settings being set to the lowest.. My new comp ain't due for at LEAST another 5 months and I still need this comp for projects.. Can someone please help me... Thank you..

P.S:Also sometimes, my comp works but when i get to the desktop, it lags like hell.. then when I click start, my whole comp hangs and I have to reset it.. Please try help me for both the probs..

To me it kinda sounds like vid card problems, maybe you installed some wrong drivers or so.

It seems like your booting it up in safe mode and from my experiances that lags like shit on most comps, since your running your sys on the bare minimum. Oh and as bob said it might be your vid card, when i reinstall my vid card any sort of movement on my monitor is so laggy, so try reinstalling the drives.

exactly if you don't have a driver or its wrong installed your pc is laggy as a **** so try install a knew GFXC driver that should work and even if you haven't changed anything to the software still try it !!!
