"AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
AM2/512KB/X2/2600MHz/2000MHz/Dual/89W

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
AM2/1MB/X2/2600MHz/2000MHz/Dual/89W"

It says right there!!!!  "2600MHz"  thats 2.6GHz for both of the processors, the 5200+ is a bit faster though because its sporting the 1MB L2 cache VS the 512KB on the 5000+

clock speeds dont mean much...
Overclocking is not always unstable

I overclocked my Opteron 165 from 1.8GHz to 3.0, perfectly stable. Stock cooling too.

but my 1.8GHz opteron is still better than anyones 3.6Ghz Pentium 4

Core 2 Duo pwns the Athlon X2s hands down. But if your stuck with a AMD motherboard, than the 2nd option there is the best, has a bigger cache.

Why DOES the Core 2 Duo series pwn AMD anyway? Everybody says that.. But for me, AMD has a better value for money..
