A rendering problem
« on: September 13, 2006, 03:26:21 PM »
I just started chucking around in Vegas, cause I want to make a sort of Battlefield 2 video. I've been capturing alot with fraps ingame (.avi) and are planning to use some of it when I really get going.

But, when I try to render my projects as vmw I get an error that I really dont understand. A friend of mine installed almost at the same time as me, and we did the same things and he hasnt got this problem.

Here's a pic of it:

What happends after that is that my Vegas crashes and I have to restart it.
Someone told me that lame mp3 file might cause some problems. So, I tried the same with only one quite tiny .avi file, and still got the error.

What to do ?

What format is recommended ? Best and smallest file as possible. .avi is good?

Make sure you haven't selected any of the professional codecs, use 128kbps CBR for the sound and 2mbps VBR Quality for the video.

I ended up with quite a comfortable solution, formating the machine. So, now its all good. Certain things arent ment to be fixed. Just reinstall.
