Community Videos / Xmas '24 | VC/SA/IV/V | Organization« Last post by puzzLe on November 01, 2024, 03:25:01 PM »Hello stunters,
Our Halloween costumes are back in the closet, our carved out pumpkins are in the trash and spooky makes way for jolly. ! Before we get into the holiday vibes, I'd like to remind everyone that the San Andreas Community video is currently being organized, with the deadline being the end of this year. Don't forget to submit your stunts, skins and fonts to Artifex or Biel. So 2024 was an awesome year for GTAStunting with super dope releases throughout the year, many old and new faces popping in to say hello and of course the celebration of the 20th GTAS anniversary. To close this year out with a bang we humbly invite you to partake in some GTAS Christmas fun! Christmas video: [VC/SA/IV/V] A bit of an unconventional one this time around, but we want to make sure everybody can join so that's why we'll include stunts from VC, SA, IV and V. You can land anything you like as this is about participation rather than landing high level stunts. Please send your stunts, fonts and skins to Darkstar or puzzLe on Discord. Deadline TBA! Community event: In addition to the video we'll also have a fun 'Advent of GTAStunting' community event going throughout December, where every day from the 1st until the 24th you will be given a stunting challenge which you can perform in your preferred game. Per day these stunts will be bundled up into a small video that'll be posted daily as a YT Short on the GTAStunting YouTube channel. Keep an eye out for the #advent-of-gtastunting channel in the GTAStunting Discord for more info. Feel free to ask any questions in the video organization channel. We hope you'll join in on the festivities; you don't wanna miss this! 83

ATS Video Releases / Re: Momentum [A Dannye Solo]« Last post by Arnax on October 30, 2024, 06:59:16 AM »I'm not really a fan of the most used method (forgot the name, "ditching" or something like that) in the vid. It has been used probably since the beginning of stunting, although very rarely later as stunting developed. The method became a bit more popular after the New Breed's crew vids if I remember correctly. In my opinion, using this method should be very innovative and creative in order to achieve "wow" effect on the viewer, especially since these kind of stunts are very easy. The most difficult thing is to (set everything perfectly) find the right distance, angle and jump on time. It can be done quickly, after a few attempts. The pattern in 90% of the video is obvious, hit the precision with Tommy, vehicle or both, let the vehicle grind or just hit another vehicle to fly over a certain distance. Using different vehicles on various spots don't change the basic pattern. The idea and goal remain the same, so most of the stunts are just minor variations on 3 or 4 themes. Also using more than two vehicles to perform a stunt was never cool but regardless, some of these are my favorites here. I liked opener, 2:36, 3:08. 4:00, 5:00, 5:36, 6:15, 6:30, 10:24 but none of these stunts impressed me. I think that a combination of different methods and ideas which are more difficult to achieve would be better. That would require a little more effort and time. You have combined a little bit here but not enough in my opinion, it's all in the shadow of this method. All in all, there were some interesting stunts, I listed my favorites but the rest weren't my cup of tea. Maybe some stunts weren't as easy as they look but I just don't like this method cause it's limited to this and similar stuff. This is my honest comment, I hope you won't be offended. I have enormous respect for all that you have given to our community, and I really like your stunts from the past ( "What Kind of Day has it Been", "Found", "Tandem", "Get Tanked", ATS crew vids...). I was expecting more advanced versions of stunts in that style, not this. I think you are one of the rare stunters with a unique style but that creativity and technique didn't really come through here, that is, they are confined within this method.

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: DeathCobra - Halcyon« Last post by Arnax on October 29, 2024, 10:18:09 AM »Grinds were mostly uninteresting. Big airs were uninteresting and looked modded. Waiting for the reps. Editing was okay but nothing special and the 60fps is a bad idea.I disagree with this comment about the quality of the stunts but it would be nice to see the reps, just to clear up any doubts. After watching the video several times, some of these big air stunts really look weird a bit and unnatural, but maybe it's down to the editing. 86

VC Un-Modded Stunting Video Releases / Re: DeathCobra - Halcyon« Last post by DeathCobra on October 28, 2024, 03:06:01 AM »Thanks for the kind words all
Popped tire was used on the opener. For some reason, it just bumps a bit better with it. Even so it's still very inconsistent, and then you essentially prec the landing. The combination of those factors is likely why such an obvious spot has lasted since TOAS. Otherwise there's nothing new. The finisher I suppose is a bit special in that it's a fucked up skimmer bump. I'd looked at that spot as an idea, several years ago. But given the stats required, and the weird setup, I never actually tried it. That is until Barney gave it a try for Ceno and hit 280ft in a fairly short space of time. It's pretty easy to get 230+ there. But getting the stats and accuracy for the roof was an entirely different proposition. 90
