In Sony Vegas 8, how do I do 3D-style text? I mean, I want it to be there, kind of move around in a 3D manner.

Episode 6 of my SA:MP Fun series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKz5YFjSSocI couldn't really care about the quality, as long as it wasn't too pixelated so I just left it on YouTube. It was made with Sony Vegas, took a few hours to edit, and about 43 minutes to render to AVI, NTSC DV Widescreen (720x48) at 'good' quality. It came about to be a little over 1GB, so I used Videora iPod Converter to convert it to 640x426 at 1.5mbps, and came to almost 60MB so that was good, then I put it on YouTube. Hope you like it, it's my best one yet. *EXTRA INFO* I recorded the game with FRAPS at 640x480 with the widescreen option turned on, then when I edited everything I cropped and lengthened the video a little to make it look like real widescreen...

Some high spec movies can take up to 20 hours to render ONE frame. So at 30fps, thats 600 hours per second. HOOOOLLLLYYYY SSSHHHIIITTT!!!!! They better hope it doesn't freeze or the power doesn't go out! I just finished the video on draft quality, I guess it ain't too bad. I just needed a little video that was quick to make, its only 9MB too.

Yes, that sounds about right. It takes about a hour and half to render a medium quality .wmv, so a MP4 should take about... 2 and half hours (thats a guess, I've never rendered MP4)?
EDIT :: Dang it Venom, why'd you have to beat me to it. WOW...thats crazy. What program do movie producers use? I bet it takes them weeks...

Expect it to take way longer than 20 minutes, I've waited for up to 5 hours for videos to finish . HOLY SHIT! I didn't expect it to take that long...at all! LOL! I guess i'll wait. The NASCAR race is delayed because of rain, its about to start so i'll just watch it and browse online.

I made a little 2 minute San Andreas video with some simple text effects and now I want to make the actual video file.
I chose a simple MP4 (640x480, 128kbps audio) and it was going to take 20+ minutes (time kept going up). Do I really need to wait this long or what? It can't take that long for a damn 2 minute video!

Its the trial downloaded straight form their website, then even before a crack was applied it did the same thing.
Are there any real differences in v7 as to v8? I usually like to have the most updated...anything.

I'm having problems with using Sony Vegas Pro 8.0b. I got it, installed it, started it up, and when I go to the Transitions OR the Video FX tabs, it says they nothing is found and I need to reinstall the program, which does nothing. The download is only like 200MB so maybe i'm missing something?
I'm using Ulead Video Studio Pro 11.5 atm.
