Title: SA Solo 2 "Acceleration"
Post by: Outlaw Penguin on December 29, 2014, 02:45:00 AM
GTA San Andreas Stunt Montage 2 "Acceleration" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0k58pmGV3o#ws)

So I am a GTA 5 stunter but I got San Andreas for PC a few weeks ago and decided to try some stunting. I know these probably are not the best stunts but I am posting it here to get everyone's opinions on it and get feedback. :) Hope you like it

Nice video for a newbie! ;)

Keep at it man, as long as you're having fun then that's all that matters.

Start watching some of the crazy SA videos that have been posted over the years to get a boost of inspiration and aim higher. Who knows what you can achieve. :)

yeah I have watched almost all of the WH videos. Those really inspired me. I also watched SA Smackdown and Ocean of Notion. I was talking to Afterlife and he really helped me get down the basics of stunting :P

Good stuff for your first video! Try to record in 1080p next time ( there's a mod somewhere which allows you to play in 1920x1080 )

Kinda odd how every GTA 5 vid I see from non-GTAS members always end up with a ton of colors and dubsteppy music, but I guess that's where you got your influence.

I dont know what version SA starts out at but you can downgrade it to get 1920x1080. You've seen WH videos so can't say much more than try to follow those. To really pull off this upbeat music you need a million flashes and that on it's own is a bad idea. Move the camera less, you can hold left and right mouse button to lock yourself to only moving in/out left/right which helps trying to stay somewhat still, while still being able to rotate a bit.

Buy non-default clothes.

Other than that, try redoing things you've seen in older videos.

Thanks man, I was trying some stuff from WH and I still am. I did just buy new clothes and hopefully going to get a skin for the NRG. Thank you for the tips. I definitely will do that. :)

Great solo for your second, editing and CC were nuts
The only tips I can give you are: improve camera angles (take example from some pro editors) and stretch the video to 16:9 instead of those black borders.

Otherwise it was a good watch. :)

I don't think custom clothing matters at all. Look how many people use default CJ with a white tank top on, or the editor didn't bother to add custom skins. I can't even count how many times I watched a big WH vid or whoever, and said to myself, why am I seeing default CJ's in this big video? So, that's up to you. Personally, I like having a custom skin. :p

Edit was pretty nice, I know you're not new at editing, just SA editing. People already gave you tips on that.

Really cool you watch SA smackdown, that's pretty much the king of all SA videos. It inspired the people that inspired me. (tackleberry,Kert)

Good first video man, have fun with it. I gave GTA V a try a few times. I just prefer the physics of SA more than any other game.

Any new stunter to SA would be proud of this video, so congrats on the level of stunting :).

A lot of people giving you tips on editing, but I think the obvious question is are you aware of a program called freeplay? All of the stunts in this video seemed to be recorded in game as they we're performed (correct me if I'm wrong). So I guess as well as asking if you are aware of freeplay, do you also know about how to save and store replays (reps)?

Those are the basics to editing so let's start with those 2 first, otherwise a great CC you got there, just need to get used to the older GTAs and the settings and recording shit and so on so on.

Good start mate  :ninja:

Yes I have freeplay installed but have not used it successfully. Afterlife explained the replay thing to me. The way I recorded most of these. Was but using fraps. I would land a stunt, press F1 to show the clip, then i press F9 to record the clip. :P
