Which do you guys prefer for stunting in VC/SA?
-
Keyboard + Mouse
-
I use both half of the time I play. If it's something normal/not too hard execution wise I use my gamepad. But if the stunt is a technical bike stunt, or something in an Infernus/cabbie etc I use my keyboard and mouse. (I never change SCM files, I just use the standard version.)

I prefer a keyboard/Mouse.

I only use keyboard because I changed all the controls so I just boost/load/save with my keyboard, it's awesome (VC). I used a gamepad for a while and landed basic stunts with it in SA engine.

Keyboard.

gamepad are for those who have balls only, so yeah , gamepad

Keyboard/mouse for sure...

I've been playing SA on PS2 with the regular dual shock 2 controller. As for the PC version, I got used to keyboard + mouse (with heavily changed controls) fairly quick and kept it that way throughout my MTA:SA days until today. I started stunting in mid 2007 and have been using a keyboard + mouse with those changed controls mostly since then. I also have tried 2 or 3 different gamepads over the years. All of them were somewhat similar to the real PS2 controller and I do like that controller feeling.
To me personally it always depended on the spot itself. I liked to do P2Bs, car stunts including hydraulics and technical stuff with controller, whereas I liked evetything else with keyboard + mouse better.
In my opinion keyboard + mouse vs controller is a pointless debate. I believe it all simply is a personal preference thing. I didn't experience any major drawbacks nor advantages with either of them. To me it simply is equal.
The leaning forward thing does seem faster with a controller indeed (there isn't any noticable advantage in terms of acceleration & maximum speed tho). Remember: No matter how fast your tapping is, you can not get past the determined acceleration value.
In my opinion keyboard + mouse and controllers are simply on par and everyone can use whatever they want.

I am 13 years in GTA but everytime I play GTA gamepad is ready

Ok dude

Its very interesting seeing what everyone uses. I have played with both and can not really decide which I like more.

Like R69, I started out around the old MTA days with a usb/ps2 style gamepad made for PC. I have been using a gamepad this whole time, except now I use one of my ps3's gamepads with motionjoy. I have been told I should use mouse+keyboard but I just can't do it. But I can't say I have really tried.
I know there are more advantages using the mouse+keyboard such as taxi roll boosting. But I don't really like those anyway

Would it be weird if I told you I use a Gamepad but the actual Pad on the Controller? I use an Xbox controller's arrow pad about 80% of the time.. Otherwise, Keyboard if I do grinds or flashy stuff, since it's harder -- lol.

mouse for tapping and keyboard for pressing w
-
gamepad for car/non-bike stunts
keybo for bike
