Title: Patch 1.13 Changes (Stunting)
Post by: VaNilla on May 13, 2014, 07:38:57 AM
Hey guys, just got in, going to check out the latest update. Post any stunting related changes in this thread so we can keep it organised. Will update as more is discovered.

Summary

Okay, I've tested everything. Here's a summary of all the stunting changes. Awesome patch :euro:.

Correction: The Zentorno actually has a slightly lower tower speed than the Adder.

So the Zentorno even beats the Entity in Races?

Should be, but I will test this and confirm it.

UPDATE: The Zentorno beats the Entity XF in a drag race on the airport runway, and it has a higher top speed. The Zentorno also has better braking, but slightly worse traction. Overall, it's definitely the best super car for racing.

The thrust even wheelies better than the akuma. It's very sensitive(? I don't know the word for it) towards the road meaning even a slight bump or slope affects its wheelie, other bikes do too but it affects the thrust more than the other bikes. It feels heavy though so I don't think it could go that high. The zentorno is great IMO, it can be used for some stunts, if it's impossible with zentorno, then use the adder. Because zentorno looks so much cooler for stunting IMO.

I was still disappointed that the thrust was a chopper though. Sigh. But I'm sure stunters here are creative and can make something out of that bike.

I was surprised how fast the Thrust can go as a chopper bike, but it's weight is a let down because it takes forever to get into gliding position.

The Daemon is a tiny bit better in that respect, but overall the speed makes up for it :P.

Tested everything related to Gliding. Bumps, speed methods, wallrides, grinds, everything. It is EXACTLY the same as the original handling!
  • Gliding is back 100%. Having tested every stunting method, I can confirm that it is back, exactly the same as it was before ;D.
Seriously? I have some troubes with that update i cant land this  stunt here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhKhTZ9WC-o (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhKhTZ9WC-o) (The 1.10 stunt possible with 1.13?) [/list]

Thanks :P. Has hovering for jets come back with this patch? Should have, but I haven't got the chance to test it yet.

Here's something from 1.13 most people didn't notice, that helps with filming stunts: You can now spectate friends. You also have the option to hide the HUD, making filming with spectate look just like you were filming yourself. This is good for recording for crew members without capture cards, or filming stunts with the cinematic camera mode. There's also a helicopter view for aerial shots (at least in races, didn't try it in freemode).

To use this, the person you want to spectate has to first enable it in the options menu. Once they have, it appears as an option in the friends list when you click on their name. You don't even have to be in the session with them.

You've been able to do that in race mode since launch. Still, it's awesome for freeroam :D.
