Hey guys, just wondering if anybody who is interested in photography or considers it a hobby/profession could give their opinion on some of my girlfriends work. She's new, doesn't know what sort of photography she'll end up in, but any tips, praise or criticism will help an awful lot to her. Appreciate anybody who is willing to help her out, cheers guys :).

The only thing I can advise her is to be more selective and to do some basic retouching to make the pictures stand out.

Cheers man, passed it on. She's new so hasn't really found her 'style' yet, but with time I guess that will happen naturally.

Well, it looks cool. Focus and depth is important, but this probably she knows.
If the quality is important for her then should read about noises on pictures.

If you haven't budget for high-end product don't worry, those equipment that she have should be already enough.
For example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kirsty_rose/11590838905/# (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kirsty_rose/11590838905/#)
It looks ok for someone who don't know - for me yes. Weird?
But when I look in other perspective I don't like it. I mean near distance.
Let's zoom it!

so in fact is highly visible in dark areas of pictures.
NEXT!
correct it in the photoshop. I will not do this professional, but slightly improve it.
So we can do: http://images.tinypic.pl/i/00514/uscrd0xz8hbe.png (http://images.tinypic.pl/i/00514/uscrd0xz8hbe.png)
Like this or:

Final result:
original resize to 400x348:

same size photoshoped by me:

Ofc. You can improve your pictures much more than me. Peace!
