Original post, your best bet is to delete the GTA_VC.set file in the same folder your reps are in or try different compatibility modes with the gta_vc.exe and if they don't work then try downloading a no CD patch from the modding section here or from another trusted GTA site *random sites no doubt contain virus's*

Otherwise reinstall
