Title: A 'Unholy' GTA V Crew
Post by: Daffy on September 19, 2013, 02:30:12 PM
Hello GTAS, I started thinking about the potential for crew's in GTA V and how that's gonna work earlier today and it seems at least in the beginning, while GTA V is on consoles only it's gonna be rough to for any crew to do any sustained GTA 5 crew video work for those interested in that so I'm putting the idea out there to start a 'unholy' crew meaning this is supposed to be a side-crew aside from your other crew.
This crew will only be about making GTA V videos, so SA and VC material doesn't even have to be discussed out of respect to and for the other crews the participants might be in as to not interfere with how that game's crew go by their business.
No crew name has been decided upon yet but we'll get to that soon enough.

Should you by interested in participating, I have some wishes that will work in your favor if you can fullfil as many as possible but as of yet they're not requirements so don't sweat it, if you show a nice attitude that can get you a long way  :cc_detective:

* If you are in a networked crew, because chances are we are more familiar with the stunts you do then.
* If you are over or soon to be 18, as experience tells me you're less likely to fuck up, even though I know this seems unfair to you who are under.
* If you have a good capture device, like the Elgato Game Capture device that lets you capture the HDMI output and will raise the quality of our videos, regardless you will need some sort of capture device.
* If you don't have a known history of modding, if when GTA V comes out on PC and we decide to make a video or more it would be nice if we know we can trust you.

This is me asking if you're interested and I'm basically saying since it's so soon after the relase "if you become interested in GTA V stunting, w/could you be interested in being in this crew?" and the same goes for the current members of the crew.
If you are post in this topic with your status in relation to the first 3 wishes, but not limited to just those if you wanna get something of your chest and we'll keep an eye on'ya  :ninja:

- I'm in a network crew
- I'm soon to be over 18 (March)
- I own a capture card device, only handles 560p but the quality is good enough
- I have 3 or 4 half decent bump spots already in V so I 'could' be considered an active gta V stunter

Anything else you wonna know, just ask, i'm up for this crew full of other crew, like gta stunting collective just to make awesome V videos.

I think my computer can handle gta V + the fact I already have a capture card for all my attempts on the xbox.

I'd love to participate.

If someone can explain me how to use a capture card properly and where to put it I am in  :P My xbox is directly linked to my PC monitor but I never used a capture card so I have no clue how they work.

I'll pretty much go for stunting in PC since I believe my computer would handle it.

I'm going to go to my cousin's house every weekend to play out and explore the game, hopefully going to record some stuff too if I got the chance.

* Not in a networked crew.
* 15 years old, 16 at March.
* Don't have a capture device yet, hopefully buying one soon - if not, will record it with different methods.

You got my attention. :euro:

As soon as V it's the PC, I will try to make a simple trainer for stunting as I really want people to stunt in V.

If you're looking for a funky clan name, don't bother asking on 4chan, it's already been tried and tested.

I wouldn't mind joining if I had a capture device. I just played GTAV to 91% (around 30 hours over the course of a week lol) so I'm gonna put it down for a while, but the physics are really freaking fun and there's been plenty of moments already that I wish I had on tape! I'm a bit concerned this crew is going to be more prestigious than what I have in mind though. If I was doing a video I'd just do mostly freestyle stuff and probably some flying, I think I'll stay away from conventional stunting as long as we don't have any tools to suit our needs :P

Really looking forward to the first video!!!

BF Injection derp (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReUI_PWfNOU#)

Is this quality okay if I tweak the set-up a bit? Like getting the whole screen in the shot? Recorded this by putting some books under my camera infront of my monitor  :P Ignore the flashes, either a Youtube upload issue or I forgot to turn the scratches in New Blue down to 0. It's not perfect but paying 100€ for a good capture card is just not worth it atm. And getting a crappy one is also pretty stupid since this quality is not all that bad.

Alright I'll start polling those who has shown interest so far in a forum I've set up for this crew.
Give us to the end of the weekend to decide and we'll inform those who we'd like to take in this time around.
Also if you have some capture footage of some stunts you've done PM them too me and I'll make sure to post them in the poll which I guarantee could make a world of difference, depending on the stunts of course.

Well, here's my problem, the software used to record with my roxio started being fucked up since I installed seven. Couldn't manage to record anything. Will try to by an elgato or a pvr. let's see.

I'm in a network crew
- I'm years over 18
- I own a camcorder which recordquality is beauty if I use it for my monitor
- i will buy the PC Version as soon as possible :P and I got many spots

I upload someone in the next time ...
and I could offer myself as a Editor for this Crew ^^

I record with the D5200 and the quality is pretty good. You can see that it is a camera instead of a capture card because of the recording angle, but with a perfect set-up it beats low/medium end capture cards quality wise. Contrast is a bit harder though. Should be just fine with a D5100 I think. Don't take my last clip as a benchmark as it is better now.

Just saying I fixed my problem about the capture card. I just got myself an elgato.

At this point I don't know how many of those who are interested that we have room for, I'd be much more interested in seeing another GTA V crew start up to make the scene interesting and more nuanced, hell I'll promise a networked section to the first crew that released a good crew video after us and I mean to anyone that pulls it off.

Coulden't have said it better. There is so much potential in V and so many stunters that I never knew off producing good stuff that a second crew can easily be achieved.  :)
