Title: The Model Shop
Post by: Neriek on June 14, 2013, 01:19:17 AM
Requests are closed for the moment, still setting up my new computer
Requests are currently open, however if I don't reply right away I'm either away from the computer, sleeping, or busy with my schoolwork.

What I offer:
[I have the right to refuse/abandon any request. Never forget that.]
Skins;
PCJ600, Taxi, Infernus, etc.

Models;
I'll happily convert & rig any model you find online, or I have(that no one has asked me not to share).
I do NOT however make models from scratch. I simply don't have the time to be doing that as it can take anywhere from hours to weeks.

I may take ages to fulfill your request, for those of you who are impatient and demand to know why I haven't finished it yet; I have a life..
Also please be aware I offer this service as a hobby, I'm not obligated to doing anything. I could also disappear at any time, for any reason(or none at all).

Here are some sites where you can pick out a model and just link it to me =p

http://tf3dm.com/ (http://tf3dm.com/)

http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/3D-Models/free (http://www.turbosquid.com/Search/3D-Models/free)

http://www.models-resource.com/ (http://www.models-resource.com/)

Here is a list of models currently on my computer; New computer, old one died, I no longer have these models however I will work on building a new collection and have them stored on one of my clouds where others can also access them. I'm also trying to find all my old tools which will also be made publicly available.

There are others but if you want to find them use google.

NOTE: Models HAVE to be human, or humanish(two arms and legs), for me to rig them properly.
Also sometimes models downloaded from the internet can be corrupted easily(and redownloading doesn't always help) they can also decide they don't want to be imported properly and become useless. So it's a good idea to have more than one choice before asking me.

Current Requests;
None.

Finished Requests;
Mokujin for Sava
Vanille for Simon

Available Models; Larxene(KH2), Tseng(FF7Crisis Core), TinyTina(Borderlands2(Finally got her working)), Reno(FF7Crisis Core), Juliet Starling(Lollipop Chainsaw) Tommy with Wings. I'll see if I can redo these.

Took a break from trying to do a PCJ request for Tracker(Photoshop keeps crashing, it's driving me insane so it'll take some time). Rigged Larxene from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+. Left arm is a little wonky and the coats hood is sticking out a bit but other than that it's a perfect rig.

(http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y464/neriek/GTASkins/gta-vc2013-06-1601-21-25-18_zpsdd49bdb9.png)

It IS available, just PM me for the files. If more than one person wants it then I suggest re-skinning it, if you can't find someone who'll do it for you then if I'm not swamped in requests I'll do it.

UPDATE: Larxene is now perfectly rigged, without any issues.

Yeah that should take like 5 minutes, supposing 3dsmax doesn't give me any drama.

At the moment yeah, I don't have the HDD space for SA, and I don't have a job so I can't buy a new one.

To tell the truth I don't NEED SA to rig models for it, but I do need it to test them and see how screwed up CJ gets.

I'll see what I can do, keeping in mind there has been a tonne of problems lately, like corrupt files, bad rigs, etc.

I can help with SA if you want. :ninja:

That would be epic.

There should already be an NRG to PCJ from SA to VC floating around gtaforums or gtagarage, just grab that dff and put it into vc with your nrg's txd. Rename them to pcj600.dff and pcj600txd ofcourse

Yes but I'd require the cat's head aswell as whatever model you want it on.

Kinda needs to be humanish otherwise it'll look like crap. I do know people have drawn MLP chars as anthros/humans. I don't know if someone's made a model of that yet though.

Yeah I should be able to, I'll download it now and map the textures. What model body do you want it to be on?

EDIT: That's not a free model sadly enough, and I don't even have money for a thing.

Guys I'm having trouble with 3dsmax, I just restarted my computer('cause I haven't done so in a month or so) and now it won't start. So I'm re-downloading and reinstalling, and see where that goes. I haven't forgotten about any requests!

3DSMax working again, starting with Sheeptea's request.

I did get the files however I couldn't fully rig it properly and when I did, a new huge error would pop up(the mesh collapsed in on itself) I have a Kingdom Hearts version of Mickey I was going to rig for you instead but his feet are stuck together and I can't pull them apart normally.

I'll give the original Mickey another shot seeing as I've reinstalled 3DSMax, but I don't think it will make much difference.

EDIT: 3DS isn't letting me export the rig normally which means I'm going to have to try the super long method. It may take quite a while because I've a few thousand things I need to do tomorrow and on the weekend, but I should hopefully be able to get it done.

Since this model has 2 textures it can't go over the normal player.dff and .txd.

So open up IMG Tool, open gta3.img, find player2.dff and player2.txd, extract them(keep them somewhere safe).
click Commands > Add, and find both your model and the txd file. Then just to be safe click Commands > Rebuild archive. Add me on skype if you still need help lol

Yeah Vice City is easier... I just gave up trying to get my DeadMau5 head to work properly. I got it rigged perfectly, but it only works when I replace head.dff although it's disgusting textures. I tried using the player.txd in gta3.img and head.txd in player.img. THEN I tried replacing cornrows.dff and .txd in player.img and that only caused it to crash.

Vice City however, I just need to rig it, adjust the bones to make it nice and clean, then export it just once instead of 3 times.. It's pretty much the same as rigging Peds in SA.

Yeah I just tried to rig a head to Vice City on my laptop in 3DS max, it's a lot easier than SA. most annoying thing in SA is the neck. Mostly there will be invisible gap there... But I will definitely try something harder on my power pc

by the way, can you post a better picture of your deadmau5 rig? from back and sides I would like to see it. :lol:

Got it working in SA this morning, so I'm pretty happy about that. I'll take pics next time I open up VC, it's pretty much plain ol' what you see is what you get though.

As for everyone else, I woke up this afternoon feeling sick as shit, had a massive headache, and the dogs were barking all day, not to mention I forgot my medication. So I didn't get any requests done, other than fixing ProMagic's model. I plan on getting Neotec's, & MikeyMouse's models done over the weekend. Also I feel like I'm forgetting someone else's request but whatever.

Yes I did, and I'm sorry but I don't model anything from the ground up as a request.. It takes too long. However if you manage to find what you want (or even part of it I guess) on one of those websites in my first post then I'll do it up for GTA.

Also, a note to everyone else.. I'm very busy lately getting ready to move, after my birthday in July, I'll be leaving Townsville, and it'll take me a while to set myself and everything up. Mikey, Neotec, I'm sorry I've still got to finish your requests, I haven't forgotten about you guys, add me on skype if you want and I can send you the requests directly when I get around to them.

So it took me a little over a year to get a new computer. Ironically, this "laptop" is smaller, and less powerful than my old one, however it works and I can start rigging and skinning again. Before anyone asks I don't intend to pickup where I left off with the old requests I didn't finish before, but we'll see what happens.

I've also started studying full time, and so I'll be incredibly busy for the next 6ish months. I know it seems pointless for me to even post this if I'm going to be hard to reach but I need something to do inbetween my assignments, exams, and studies, as a break or whatever, you know what I mean?

Requests will be open when I finish redownloading my copy of 3DSMAX, and all the other tools I use.
Also be sure to check out the model rigging tutorial I posted last year in the modding section(it may be pretty lame but it should get the point across), I'll help anyone who posts asking for advice(supposing I can give you the answers you need, or if I even see your posts.)

Anyways, just thought I'd actually let you guys know I'm back rather than lurk the forums, and laugh like a little girl as no one notices I'm here lol.
