Post by: Skuller on July 15, 2012, 11:31:05 PM: Hello guys, we are proud to present you our new crew video called Cimmerian. After i joined DSS i saw that FIGHTER already started the editing of this but he was busy and he was editing it really slow also his song wasn't long enough so he wouldn't put my stunts. So i decided to ask him if i could replace him and edit the video by putting all the stunts, and he agreed. I barealy edit videos cuz of diffrent problems but i tryed to do my best and finish it as fast as possible and i like the final result. It was really hard to find a good song so i decided to use this one cuz it's kind fitting with our style. Overall that's it and i would like to tank all guys who helped especially draguN for making the name tags. Now enjoy the vid ;)

Editing was clean, but because of the angles I expected many stunts. Song fit the video, was decent.

Ozibe stood out for me.

Glad to see the big red building landed twice in a single video. Gj Noah and Ozibe for that

Oh yeah we also could've go without some fillers, but anyways, they wont make the video uglier :happy:

Edit: Holy shit, great to see TBV with so many stunts. The video was great overall. Few oldies as someone mentioned and I didn't really like the finisher choice, but thats ok. I'd give it 10/10 anyway. :P

I'd also like to make a review if you guys make a template, so many great stunts. :ajaja: Song wasn't really my cup of tea however it fits the crew's style, some nice clean editing you made there Skuller. :ajaja:

A great mixture of big airs, taxi boosts and grinds! Everyone presented themselves with at least one good stunt. I really liked luli's passage between the 2 chimneys. A whole load of stunts from TBV, great ones dude! Good job on the editing Skuller, you surprised me positively :)

but this vid was a huuge let down for me :( i waited way more... couple of old stunts and there was one stunt i landed and did not put even on a leftover vid :blink:

finisher and tbv's p2b was my fav stunts and ofc ozibe's double grind!

Post by: Gavran on July 16, 2012, 04:42:14 AM: I have been told by at least 20 people now it's old. It is old from the closer part (the railway crossing the street by killerstunter) and nobody complained about the stunt there. Now I made it longer by bumping the BB and everybody hates it :(

About the video, it was ok, but we could really have done better if you had only allowed SAiVC as a main map we could've stunted in. If so, my performance would not have been so weak.

Also Skuller, pretty nice editing, didn't know you were so good.

Gavran bumped that sign post while KS bumped the rail ahead on the walkway to the train station. Technically it's not old from this bump.

Pretty cool editing as well, the glitchtags was a nice idea even though it didn't quite fit the CC. :P

Actually I was trying the highest. Will try again after I finish with my summer job, its really fun spot to try even though bumping the curb is a real paint in the ass

Post by: Skuller on July 16, 2012, 06:36:09 AM: For the guys so said nice/bad things about the edit i could say that my problems were forcing me to do bad edits all over the time even with my big motivation i couldn't do anything and i still had some of those past problems when i was editing this but i found a way to fix almost everything so i could say that my upcoming projects would be even better. Oh and i added the review template to the first post.

Good job to everyone involved, and I'm glad people liked the finisher. I'm sure as heck this will not be our last video, infact, I think our next one will have a vastly smaller time-gap. :D

The Big V stood out for me, it was a pleasant experience to see so many stunts by him. Also liked Gavran's ledgegrind, BG Hitman's doublegrind, luli's boost to the prec, Ozibe's all stunts, Turok's doublegrind, Noah's finisher and all stunts from TBV for sure. The editing was okay, although the music is not my taste.
I really don't think the quality has dropped, DSS is still alive and kicking. Keep it up guys! :)

0:17-0:25 FIGHTER: Great way to open the video, I've been trying it from a packerbump but it should be impossible on that way. Never though about a CSM there. Great landing. 9/10
0:26-0:34 The Big V: Simply amazing, that krail made it for me. 9.5/10
0:35-0:43 luli: Didn't like it, though it had to be difficult to get the good angle and the distance. 7/10
0:43-0:51 Skuller: Both the idea and the execution were awesome, this just didn't fit in this video and honestly in the whole DSS crew. Still giving an 8/10 to it.
0:52- 1:00 The Big V: Amazing landing, getting the boost should have been a bitch. 8.5/10
1:01-1:09 Gavran: Cool idea, still looks like a filler to me. 7/10
1:10-1:18 AllBeast: The RAD looked weird to be honest, dunno what to say. It was also boring after you landed a higher building in your previous video. Not gonna rate it, sorry.
1:18-1:26 Ozibe: Dunno what to say again, I've always respected you mate, but it simply looks impossible to me. Gotta try it out, never tried to stuck a CSM there, was about to do a PSM but never got a good setup. Good job on landing that building if it's clean.
1:27-1:36 BG hitman: Probably the best stunt in the video, simply amazing idea and insane execution. 10/10
1:36-1:53 luli: Bad landing, still good job. 8/10
1:53-2:02 FIGHTER: Good job on landing this from a p2b, I believe someone has already CSM'd it before. 8/10
2:02-2:10 Noah: Obvious filler, nothing specieal to me. 6/10
2:10-2:19 The Big V: You strike again with your amazing taxiboosts, nice to see that tower landed. 9.5/10
2:19-2:32 Ozibe: Better executed than Barney's. 9/10
2:32-2:41 Turok: Another filler, even your lucky execution in Reunion 2 was better. 6/10
2:41-2:51 Skuller: Looked full of luck to me, didn't really like it. 6/10
2:52-3:00 Gavran: Well I'm not gonna get in discussion about this one, I don't care about it being old or not, I was trying it for some random timelimited video and I know it's difficult because of the height of the bump. 8/10
3:00-3:9 BG hitman: Doesn't look hard to me, someone should get the very top of it if it's solid. 7/10
3:10-3:18 Ozibe: Nice landing, you even managed to get further than Macsta did, good job 8/10
3:18-3:27 The Big V: Amazing, though in my opinion if you had shooted in the air you probably would have landed the higher part of it with some luck. 9.5/10
3:28-3:35 Noah: Totally insane, I'm not gonna bitch about this one, I see nothing wrong with it, good job. Well deserved finisher. 10/10

And i don't know if we will include SAiVC in the upcoming vid or not but we are definitely not daying, i'm pretty sure that there will be a next crew video and i will try to land even better stunts for it.

Okay, what the fuck? I never talked about modding, I'm just pointing out my opinions about stunts, its called constructive critisism. Ain't satisfied? Then piss off.. I can tell my opinions freely without anyone coming back at saying that I am accusing any of you about modding? Clearly, Noah's csm 2 roof was LAME get it? Not because Noah always picks on me about my VC skills and I want to strike back with saying hes stunt is lame.
And finisher? It's weird from the first time I saw it and still looks weird, wait that? Did I say It looks MODDED?! It's weird because the bump 2 recoil to having so much air to roof with 90 degree angle.

1:36-1:53 luli: I'm usually not fond of taxi stuff, but yours is crazy. Almost perfect execution, could be a bit better, but I suppose it was hard as fuck to land on that thing.
1:53-2:02 FIGHTER: Average stunt, cool spins though. :)
2:02-2:10 Noah: Well this definitely looks fillerish, moreover I wonder how it's still new. Pretty obvious spot, thought about it before but I was sure it's old. Anyway. :lol:
2:10-2:19 The Big V: Holy fuck your boosts in this video are incredible. Loved the spins and perfect landing. :wub:
2:19-2:32 Ozibe: Well both yours and Barney's versions are not fully complete. I liked that you finished the grind till the end, but first part of the stunt (first grind and the passage between the second) was performed a bit better by Barney.
2:32-2:41 Turok: Very poor performance, could be much better, still it's a very good idea man. :)
2:41-2:51 Skuller: No offence dude, but this stunt should not have been put in the video because you clearly aimed for the precision on that ship's ledge, seemed like you got very lucky to hook on the ledge grind. Nevertheless, cool job.
2:52-3:00 Gavran: Overwhored place, all three bumps are pretty close each to another meaning they're practically identical. Glad you nailed it perfectly tho. :>
3:00-3:9 BG hitman: Hmm, isn't this old? If not, cool psm.
3:10-3:18 Ozibe: Great stunt, although very similar to Macsta's one, I still liked it.
3:18-3:27 The Big V: Holy fuck, I was grinding my teeth when you were in the air hoping you'll land the highest part. But you didn't. Still an awesome stunt.
3:28-3:35 Noah: Hmm, I had my doubts about this one, but when watched it like 15 times in a row i believe it's clean. Bizarre idea and execution dude.

Outro: Way too long, could've been at least a minute or less.

Overall: Really good video, although I somehow like your 2008-2009 ones better. I liked that there were many grinds, not only p2b's, csm's and psm's. I hope you'll keep it up guys. :)

0:35-0:43 luli: Don't really like it. I was never a fan of those small spaces where you go through and then land a 6ft building. Good bump though.

1:01-1:09 Gavran: Tried that for like 5 minutes ages ago. Came close, thought it was old and moved on. Didn't really impress me but atleast you did it nicely and the turn was smooth.
1:10-1:18 AllBeast: I edited that for Upsurge but then took it out again. Good bsm but I still think the more vertical one is better.
1:18-1:26 Ozibe: Giving this one a go aswell. Seems fun to try and rewarding to land. Never landed that building and this seems possible. Nice find and great stunt.
1:27-1:36 BG hitman: I still have the small clip you send me when you landed that like a year ago if not longer. Amazing stunt.
1:36-1:53 luli: I looks more like a stuck then a landing but still great boost. Not gonna give this a go because the landing looks hella annoying :lol: Beats Sorcery's landing and this was landed earlier anyway so yea. Sweet.
1:53-2:02 FIGHTER: Saw that before aswell. P2b>CSM here. Good job.

2:10-2:19 The Big V: Bailed that a couple of times after first watching the video. Great execution and this is a TBV boost aswell :P

I have live footage of me landing backwards with only 130ft... And as far as modding goes I trust Tryp more then I trust you after your auditions and duo stuff. :) This stunt may look unreal but it's not really extremely hard or anything once you get a good set-up.

EDIT: It does look a little floaty in the replay, but it could be because of the spot itself. I'm also unsure now, but I personally trust the guy, because I've never seen him mod before. At the top of his arc though, it looks like it carries on a little longer than you would without gravity mods. So I don't know.

You must remove a angle by hard turning left in nearby car and you will be on straight way to bump it. You must to find reference point when you have to turn, for me it was a curb in nearby house. Its hard to do but dont be lame to call it modded.

ive seen it many times :P

and when you make shit stunts with modding no one cares if they are modded... but if you make hard stunts modded its annoying if someone lands it clean...
