Hi Phamus, I don't have a fucking clue about ultimate team so I cannot help you there. I tried it once, only for a few games, the whole concept of constantly spending money on a feature in FIFA is something that does not make me happy. I'm naturally a tight stingy bugger with money, so I am choosing to ignore that part of FIFA. There's several strategies available though if you search for them.
As for best formations, I am usually comfortable with a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2, the crucial thing is making sure you get to grips with the defensive side of things as well as knowing how to pass it about. There's several types of FIFA player - there's those who can enjoy passing it about comfortably all over the pitch, there's those who rely heavily on being sweaty bastards and abusing the wings to cross it in to get sweaty goals, there's pace abusers who rely heavily on speedy motherfuckers, and there's skillful players who can just completely out-play folk, but they have a tendency to show off too much which can be costly.
BTW I played Juan the other night (remember him?) and crushed him, he rage quit :lol:

I'm in Division 5..:S Well It's because I don't know, I struggle to crawl out of it. Like for instance I had 15pts and 2 games left and lost both of 'em. Oh well :)

Forgot to mention, as well as the 'Slow crawl to Division 1' I'm also starting another FIFA 12 series, which I'm working on now to get footage of. The idea is that I pick the worst team in the game (Bray Wanderers in Ireland), and take on people who intentionally choose teams who are really good (4 stars and higher), despite seeing my terrible team. I then record myself owning their highly-rated team, and capture the humiliation for them for all to witness. Series will be called 'Bray will slay', hopefully it'll be popular (and hopefully I can keep getting victories with Bray haha).

PES has been behind FIFA for years IMO. The late 90s/early 2000s, FIFA was poor in a gameplay sense, and Pro Evolution Soccer offered more enjoyable football. I went back to FIFA since 2010, when I decided after playing the demos that FIFA was the superior beast once more. Just my opinion on it.

Yeah it was not as entertaining that game, but I can promise you the next few games are pretty awesome. I think I'll do shorter highlights though rather than full-game for the next one. Full-length is good for epic encounters like that first one, but 2nd one was a bit dull for length of the video.

I have actually started an Ultimate Team thing myself, I called myself 'IncompetenceUtd' because I simply don't really know what I'm doing. I'll have more videos on that, as well as the Bray will Slay and the Slow crawl to Division 1 stuff, over the next few days, weeks, months etc.

You just need to learn how to get good chemistry and you should have 2 players for every position so you don't have to waste money on fitness cards cause those are pretty expensive.
Also you gotta learn how to make profit on trading since its the best way to make some coins.

Had a couple of pretty epic matches tonight, one on Ultimate Team and one on Head to Head season mode. However there's a backlog of matches to use footage of first, so I'll work on getting a few eps done over next few days.
All I'll say is that I can always seem to defy the odds....it's bloody mental lol.

I use a Dazzle DVC 100, which is a simple USB plug-in, it uses composite cables hooked into back of my TV but it also has S-cable thing too if you have that. I can't remember how much it cost me, but a quick search on Amazon has it showing up for around £35-£40.
I know it's not as HQ as, for instance, Artifex's clips, his form of capturing footage (if that's not from PC) is most likely from a capture card you'd need to manually install inside your computer, which I'm never comfortable with so I went for the cheap and risk-free option of the Dazzle.
A very weird thing I need to do for every single recording is that I need to make sure the footage is set to NTSC. I then need a program called AMCap, and when I begin a recording, I then open up AMCap. Otherwise the footage'll be in black and white. It's a very fiddly bit of hardware, with perhaps more cons to it than pros. As I said I'm doing this for fun so not overly fussed, I'm quite happy with the kind of quality I have from it as it stands.
If you're serious about recording footage from your console I'd recommend things like Hauppage are the top-end stuff, but at top-end prices too. Something called the Black Magic Intensity Pro is also very good, but very pricey. But if you're going to invest in a lot of money for this be sure you're doing it for the right reasons.

Gj getting Zaha he is a beast also you could take a look at Taylor from Shrewsbury 4 star skiller and has alot of pace but he's not cheap in the populair formations :cc_detective:

These episodes are a touch out-dated...but Zaha doesn't last long. He never really gelled that well into my team. Miller, Twigg and Woods are an amazing combination together. Sold Zaha for a bit of a profit, and I'm keeping it all-Scottish for the bronze side. I just don't have it in me to be a pace-abusing son of a bitch :P
BTW - goal stats for Twigg, Miller and Woods for me so far:
Miller: Played 43, scored 53
Woods: Played 45, scored 46
Twigg: Played 41, scored 42
There are some great episodes to come, where I experiment with a few ideas which don't really seem to come off, but it's all trial and error. There's also one of the most amazing matches I've ever played - but that won't be uploaded until some time next week.

How do you make coins so fast?

Playing matches, and trying to trade smartly.
Earlier on today I was able to buy a gold french player for 600 coins. I sold him for 1000. 400 profit instantly. I'll do some episodes in future devoted to me trying to get some coins purely from trading.
Quickest way of earning coins though is definitely just from playing games. I'm trying to save up enough coins to build a strong silver Scottish team, it'll take me a while though.

We are so similar! For instance, I focus on creating a unpopular nation team, for example, an Ecuador Bronze team, because logically they are fast and cheap and decent dribblers. I aim for the south-american side of footballers in UT.
My dream is to form a gold brazillian team :(

Truth be told I don't know what my long-term plans are for UT, I just want to build some cool squads I can have fun playing with. Scottish bronze team is sooo much fun for me, and I have some big plans for a Scottish silver squad which I need to spend a lot more coins on so I'm working hard on earning the coins.
I also want to keep making the Slow crawl to Division 1 series, I have one more episode at least so far to add but have concentrated mainly on making the UT vids. Not a lot of people seem to like it simply because I am using a Dazzle capture card which is not HD, and if it's not in HD people just won't watch the videos. It's very vain but it's just the way the FIFA community is.

I suggest you start a secondary squad, and as you play matches, the amount of coins gained from that match will be added to the overall amount of coins you have in total (obviously). Then, buy your desired scottish silver player and add that purchased player to the secondary squad created previously. After doing so, add that player to the starting 11 and carry on doing this until you've filled up the starting 11 in your secondary squad. Then when you feel like it, you can swap around the silver players with the bronze scottish players you normally play with, whilst still having bench players.

I have been doing that already but I also want to get experience with trading, so I'm not entirely relying on just playing matches. I know some people have made thousands of coins without playing a single game, because they just trade. One of the players I want for my Scottish silver team is an in-form player, who's worth around 60,000 - so I'll need a lot of work!

I'm slowly building my Scottish silver team as I do the trading btw, got a great buy when I bought Lee Wallace (left-back from Rangers) for only 500 coins. He usually can sell for couple of thousand at times, so brilliant value.
Two players I really would like in this Scottish side is Barry Bannan (Aston Villa CM rated 73), who sells for over 7000 coins, and I also really would like to have an in-form Lee McCulloch as my CF (Rangers player, IF is 74) - but that sells for between 50,000 and 65,000 coins! I would settle for a 'normal' Lee McCulloch (rated 70) if I can find him in 4-3-1-2 but so far not seen that, and the formation changer costs more than the player!

I had some microsoft points left after I bhought some 1200 msp game and I had 600 so I spent 400 on packs and got a ref. Robin van persie who was worht 80k now I just make my coins doing matches and getting good trades .. easy method is searching for gold players with a maximum price of 250. then you just bid 600 on each shiny gold one that is 75+ overall.
You can resell them for a higher price and if it wont sell you can Quick sell them for 618+ coins.

From fifa 11, I remember creation centre is where you create a team, and you can download legendary players like Zidane, Okocha, Fat Ronaldo, Maradona and etc..

And never .. NEVER sell gold players for less then 300! They quicksell for 300 already.. mostly normal gold players under 80 pace go for 400/500.
Gold shiny ones quick sell for 600 so never sell those under 600. :cc_detective:

BTW I said Burkina Faso because I got a very fast shiny bronze player in a pack, think he was called Zoundi, plays in German 2nd division as a right winger, he had 91 pace or something - I picked up a few very cheap for 250 and sold them on for at least three times as much, even for 1000.

I tried posting it on the FIFA forums, but because I don't record with a PVR people don't give it much of a chance. It seems to get a lot of views in FIFA you need to have a HD tv and an expensive PVR lol. I might try to invest in both at a later date.

Beat Arti 2-1 in a UT friendly, I thought I defended very well, he's a very good player and on another day would've won easily. I'll definitely be playing Arti more and more, I stole a win haha. Thankfully for Arti I was not recording it :)
Was using my new Portugese league team btw, still trying to build it but promising signs so far. Playing 5-2-1-2 - I prioritise a strong defence lol.

Arti has a skillful fast Brazil squad, who bamboozle me completely inside-out. The skill-based squads is something I've been trying to slowly work my way towards, and I'm hoping I can get one or two players in my new squad that'll help me discover this side of UT. The thing about this squad I'm trying to build is that possibly, I can make it almost completely full of in-forms and TOTY players - but I need to trade a lot and save up money! Price of the squad I want to buy is just under 200,000 coins - considering I am never spending any real money on this game (remember it's a "Cheapskate" series) then I'm gonna need to work a lot of trading magic and play some games with my Scottish bronze and silver sides!

How the hell is it lucky, I was meaning to shoot and score! Not as if I was trying to clear it and it deflected off 10 arses lol, I went for goal and took it :P
In the final game between me and Arti he scored from a similar distance, except it was low, bounced on the ground a dozen times and my goalkeeper didn't bother moving for it until he realised it was past him. Buffon the Bufoon!

BTW I played Arti in a friendly and he sent an angry message about me using RB to defend - then rage quit :( to other FIFA players, how do you feel about this RB-to-defend technique? I thought I was doing something proper and legitimate but maybe it's frowned upon in FIFA. Thoughts?

It mainly takes away the skilling because the defender automaticly respond to the skill the player is making :cheersad:

Sorry man, I just try to play as best as possible. Others are capable of beating me btw using skills and turns, with the same teams and set-up - this is not an invincible team I have lol.

I uploaded this last week hoping it would've been picked up by another channel to share as part of their fails, but it wasn't even looked at - so here's a very bizarre goal I conceded. Basically I didn't touch the controller, hoping keeper would just catch the ball. Defender automatically locks on to the ball and is hell-bent on trying to win it - which results in this ridiculous fail, that proved costly as I lost the game by 1 goal.
