Competitors: Static vs Darkshadow

Objective: Using any song, create the best transition from noon to dawn with any timecyc

Note: Objectives regarding looks and color corrections, will be rated according to this:

i want one day extension,because on the weekend i had to write everything for my internship portfolio and tomorrow i have  school and work ( so in germany the deadline is about tomorrow around 18:00-19:00)
so im not able to finish my editing today
rushed through it..
i didnt think i got the objective right...first noon and than dawn or how we want to..'cause DS didnt do it aswell,or i'm simply blind..nvm i did it while hearing the song again and again:

Gotta say, you two are one of the best unknown names in this tournament, you both did an absolute awesome job.
Static's entry overally was better than anything I have ever done, but the transition wasn't equally good to the whole vid (and the challenge) while on the other hand Darkshadow (sorry for typing in that way, the other will take 2 minutes to do it) had an amazing trasition between noon an dawn, nothing too much very simply and well done. Vote for Darkshadow.

Gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the entries.
Darkshadow had better transitions and more variety in effects, the colors were also better imo.
Static's entry was also pretty nice but the twitch needs better settings and more variety (if that's what you used), I like this style of editing tho, could've made it really nice with more time I bet. It was also a bit too dark.

Probably the best newcomers in the tournament. I love every aspect of each ones entry, but, I believe that Static's idea should've been used to a different song. Also, it was wayyyy too dark IMO.

In another hand, Darkshadow created a really nice concept, reminded me of Plani's stunt in Orion were I changed the daytime and CC without using a static cam angle.


Voting for Darkshadow, it seemed to fit the challenge better than Static's entry. Tough match tho, both were really awesome

I think Darkshadow camera works were a little boring but at the same time Static's were way too fast and close to CJ.  I loved Darkshadow's cc and transition and even though Static did good as well, I'm going to vote for Dark. You both obviously have mad skills, so please Darkshadow work a little on cameras and Static on music taste don't rush your edits so much and don't show the stunt for such a long time. It gets a little annoying after a while. Good job, you two.

1. thats the result of 10fps recording and 2,3 speed up...i cant do anything to slow it down
2. i just hear dubstep and rap...and the rap-style i hear is way too slow for edits

1. I record at 10 FPS too and speed them up to 2.5 (the correct way to do it btw). Kukiel wasn't talking about that tho he was talking about your camera shacking which look like you have some convulsions.

I know how to do it right, but when I speed it up to 2,5 it looks way too fast in the preview ( yes I also skipped the first secs to prevent the fps drop bug)
anyways I'm still not getting what you mean with the shaking,the pan/crop or twitch?
