how do i prevent vehicles from respawning and blocking my way?
-
move them and put a smaller car in the place they spawn

it is not working... the ambulance still respawns on top of the car.

Edit the main.scm and remove every spawning car. :euro:

Mugetsu should really stfu about me. Atleast I crack jokes against people who know the cummunity while you go after newcomers. dipshit
bauer dude, they are just messing with you. Only Cooper gave a valid answer, changing main.scm is way too complicated and what Determined said was also a joke.

As Cooper already mentioned put a smaller car (preferably a PCJ even there to get the most space possible). If you have dannye's main.scm You jsut run infront of the car press shift and scroll your mousewheel while walking forwards. That will make the car disappear, afterwards just put the replacement vehicle (again preferably a PCJ) in the exact spot where the other car normally spawns.

Haha, nice one dude.

This is a common problem with ambulances for some strange reason. The above method is a valid one, but sometimes ambulances are just stubborn about it. You can also open the mission script, find the entry that's relevant to the ambulance you're having trouble with and change the co-ords so that it spawns somewhere else. It's not recommended to simply take out lines of the code, because there are times when certain lines have supplemental lines somewhere in the code.
If parking another car simply won't work for you, sit in the ambulance, get the co-ords of the ambulance and send them in a PM to me. I'll find that ambulance in the script, show you the line in the script to look for and you can change the co-ords to get it out of your way.

thanks. i will try it again later.

sorry how do i get the co-ords? what program do i need? the pcj method does not work on the ambulance.
-
I think spoosh shows you the co-ordinates under the main menu. Of course I might be way off.

VC teleport saves co-ords for teleport points to a file called saved_positions.dat. You can open that with notepad to see the list. It's not the most efficient way of saving co-ords, but at least you can cut and paste them straight into the script. Mission Builder's Code Creator program also records co-ords. That one's actually much easier, come to think of it. One button press and the co-ords are laid out on a text window.
If memory serves, there's only about 3 ambulances parked in the entire game. So you could always just move them all 20 points on the X axis.

i will look into it this weekend. thanks for the explanation.
