Hey everyone! My names Mikeymouse and im a director on YouTube, I am currently working on a stunt montage within GTA and decided to branch my audience and come talk to you guys :). Also if anyone needs help on YouTube's newest features monetization then feel free to ask me a question as there is certain ways in which you can get video footage of GTA accepted for monetization. :)
-
Welcome Mr. Director  Good luck with your montage :jajaja:
-
Welcome here
-
Welcome to GTAS :ajaja: Where are you from?
-
You can talk proper english :a-cheer: And what is monetization?
-
Thanks for the welcome everyone :). I haven't quite got the hang of this just yet so I'm sorry i can't reply to you individually, and to answer the question about monetisation, it is a scheme bought in by YouTube which allows users to place adverts on their videos and to the side of their videos in which when people click on them they earn a certain amount of money, only a small amount but it all helps :).
I just wondered are you allowed to post YouTube videos here? As i was hoping to be able to show you guys some stunts and the sort of directing i do.
-
Also I am from England :).
-
Yes YouTube videos are allowed!
Welcome! :euro:
-
aw yeah, welcome to the community
-
Ah thank god, one of the only forums around which actually allow YouTube videos without claiming its some sort of advertising, cheers guys i'll post my montage as soon its completed :).
-
Why would we want to make money off a hobby? Let alone let Youtube put adverts on our videos for an almost nonexistant sum of money.
It annoys the hell out of me that I have to click away 2 ads and sometimes wait 20 seconds for some trailer to run just to see a 5-10minute video, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that it's a pain in the neck.
-
welcome dude :)
lol i never have any ads on youtube videos or have to wait  . if you use firefox , then just download a app called "apblock" and you'll never see any advertising on youtube or other sites again :P
-
Yeah I understand what you mean it annoys the hell out of me to, I only have it on a certain few of my videos as I (unfortunately) believed that it was a good opportunity to just have a little extra cash in the pocket. You are right youtube/google pay the smallest sum you can think of for this advertising, but i am there to offer help to anyone who wants it such as the copyright information as terms and conditions can be confusing.
And cheers man thanks for the welcome :)
-
hey mr welcome here :euro:

What up troop? Which game do you like better? VC or SA.
-
Thanks guys :).
And Urban Legend it's gotta be SA for me, first played it out in turkey on a holiday, and turned out to be a million times better than any beach or swimming pool i could find. Thanks for the welcome :).
-
welcome! and have a good time here :P
for the monetization, i think its annoying too! but if you would receive an invite to receive money with your videos, would you refuse it?? for my part, no!
-
Thanks man :) Fancy heading onto GTA IV tomorrow at some point? not sure what time as you're in canada and im england so i'll just be on whenever :)
And yeah man i agree, i hate adverts, but getting that email through from youtube which said 'invitiation to earn revenue from your YouTube videos' is definately exciting, however it is a huge let down when you earn £0.03 in a week xD.

Thanks guys :).
