A educational video about ships and cars

Hello fellow cow-orkers of GTAStunting, today we can finally present you our newest installment of a Special Stunting Unit video, called Oasis. Now you might ask why this video hasn't come any sooner? Well Franco at first was supposed to edit it, he had the video finished and only needed to upload it, but he suddenly vanished at the beginning of August. After a while of no living signal whatsoever, we decided to let Artifex have a try at editing the video and we think he did a fine job remaking it from scratch.

This project also has taken longer than expected, because we are no VC crew normally, and SA videos usually keep us more fascinated then VC videos. We actually started to organize it after Void, but gathering stunts was a real issue for us. Finally after Orion we picked up the project again and the stunting progress took two months. Maybe we even do VC videos on a regular basis now, who knows.

Shotouts to Franco,Artifex for both editing it and Ktulu for these awesome nametags, Nauthiluz for the logo aswell as the whole SSU who participated in the video.

I'm so fucking happy to see the final product, I have to say that I'm so proud of everyone  :wub: Anton, good lord was that editing great  :ajaja:

Stunting-wise it didn't have any big high air PCJ stunts and I have to say that it didn't matter at all because I really enjoyed everyone's stunts. Everyone had awesome stuff and for the first time I'm really satisfied with my contribution to the video since I've never been able to land more than one stunt/video  :lol:

Ktulu also needs a lot of credits, those nametags were just so funky, great job on 'em  :ajaja: Great job on that logo also Nauthiluz, it looks extremely nice. Superb job Artifex/Anton on the editing as I said before.

It's pretty epic I must say, one of the greatest vid I've watched. It was full with creative stuff which cant be seen every day in VC. MtS clearly owned it imo. 10/10

Ok so, my comment on it here we go:
Really good vid imo, it was fresh and even tho I may have thought we lacked some highairs it has turned out into something positive imo at the end of the day, everyone had neat stuff and I'm glad to be a part of it and to have had the chance to help organize it.

Franco's disappearance left us without many choices but to re-edit it after we didn't hear from him in a long while, Anton's take on the editing was superb in my opinion and he deserves a big kudos on that.

Stuntingwise I thought everyone had great stunts and comparing in stunting is pretty useless but I still would like to point something obvious, MtS stood out and had insane stuff... when he first started landing stunts on different taxi cars in VC I was shocked by his amazing start and then when he landed the finisher it was just the icing on the cake, this spot is unbelievable and one of the best ever taxi stunts.
Great job from anyone else apart from that, no fillers and I liked the fact some SA stunters pushed themselves to land stuff for it :ehm, rusch, ehm:.
I had abit different plans for my stunts for this vid but nevertheless I thought they've turned out pretty well.

Something tells me MtS had the WH spot folder while doing stunts for this  :P

I'll have to say my favorite was PrzemOO, mostly because he did stuff I've wanted to do for a long time but never could land :< Good job :3

The video was cool, nice edit and cool steff. And I have to say the video was better than I thought it would be :)

This video impressed me so much, i didn't expect so much greatness. First off all, i am very pleased to see Andre in a VC video. I think you should do a VC solo. You have talent in both games man. A little thing, i lost a stunt, Mts' firetruck stunt, but since i saw that great execution, i am ok with that. The other stunters did a great job too. So much combination of style and talent. And shifftee, you fit perfect in this crew, i really liked your stunt. What comes next, is the editing. Tob job, this CC was amazing and fitted perfect with the song&editing. Guys, you pwn in VC too, please contitue with both games.

Really, really great video guys. Everything was brilliant; music, editing and of course stunts. Best VC video I've seen in a long time. A few mediocre stunts but mostly this was top notch. Just the kind of stunting I like to see. Good variety too.

Fine then, I'm just a little bit in mood today. Back in the days, people first waited to see other members comments and then probably asked for the permission from the admins. I don't know why I'm saying it to you because you can obviously remember too, time changes.

To say something good about the video again, I liked the soundtrack used, and the editing fit perfectly. I'm not trying to say this video doesn't belong to that channel, i'm just indignant that you uploaded it in purpose.

Really unlikely to happen. I don't enjoy VC much and really dunno shit about the methods, what's still new n stuff. When I was in TMS I already stunted a bit in VC but never released anything and just quit it. I just got dragged back into VC by SSU kinda and it was a pain for me to nail a few ones, although on one session I even nailed two of those stunts :3

Anyway, thanks for the comments and I'm glad people seem to enjoy my first released VC stunts. Can't tell if more will come in the future.

Gotta say I'm pretty satisfied with the final outcome. Really a decent video on all aspects. I specially like the nametags, the jeff reference and MtS' outro fail. Stunting wise I probably like JC's boost to pillar the most. There were actually couple cool boosts and I usually dislike Taxi stunts.

Good job guys, kinda glad I'm in. And welcome Shitbee once again! :P

Btw: 1080p download version comes tomorrow!

I find that rather harsh, this is one of the best vids released for a long while. Definitely deserves to be on the GTAS account whether you wait for the comments or not.

This was truly great guys! So many creative stunts and great thinking, though I think I saw a few oldies here and there, but I am very amazed still that an nearly all-SA crew managed to make such a fresh VC video. Mts' was obviously sick, but I think Kai and JC were too! I think that the other stuff was enjoyable also.

Editing was fine, can't really be seen that it was made in a jiffy, it's my favourite kind of VC edit, smooth and good camera angles.

Kai: Nice variation for that p2b, the roof looks hard to stop on.
PrzemOO: Nice landing, fresh idea for an old spot :)

MtS: I remembered when Daffy posted it in the 2007 SL forum when he was trying it for a match, I never expected that someone would ever land it. Well deserved finisher, my second favorite stunt in the video.

Artifex: Shit, that was huge, why wasn't it on main part?
MtS: I was expecting a bump like Kert did, but that was ok.
Kai: Awesome, I love mid height p2bs and LC bb landing, and even more those 2 combined.

Editing: You did a great job and created a good atmosphere in the video, although you could have spared a few minutes to change the LC tree files back to the original ones (it's a network crew vid, everything should be the most good looking as possible  :cc_detective:), it was painful to see JC's boost with those naked trees(personal opinion, but since today I see it in 90% of the videos, I guess it's not important at all)
Overall: One of the best videos of the year so far, MTS, JC and Pzerm00 stood out for me, you showed that you got potential to make great videos.

This video is the real fucking deal! :o Jaws were dropped.

Loved every stunt in this, but what really blew me away was the taxi stunts... Everyone of them were unbelievably well excecuted and simply, pretty fucking amazing. Kudos guys!

Two other great stunts that made me go "Whoa, I wish I thought of that" were:
Przem00's Infernus wallride to grind to tank dodge to grind and Artifex' stoppie to bump to grind.. Flawless!
 
And I want to give credit to Artifex for his outro stunt, it looked mad stylish. I'm a sucker for tank bumps, or anything else that involves unexpected megaspins.

Two thumbs up, SSU, this video is a masterpiece.

Amazing video mates, I didn't expect it at all to be this good since you're (now, we can use "you were") mostly a SA crew and didn't show that much VC work.

But damn that was one tight video, each stunter has given himself to make a great video and so did the editor. Such a breath of fresh and pure air over Vice City, creativity without dumb backups or stuckies.

Definitely one of the most impressive video of the year.  :euro:

About the stunts: No words to really describe how good and balanced they were...Just epic. Let me list my favorite ones:
MtS, I love you :wub: The firetruck doublegrind, the grind LC, the boosts... Just amazing, you are one of my favorite stunters now :D
Artifex' grind - epic idea mate, the spin made it look lovely!
PrzemOO - The infernus grind was sick!!!! I landed it with a taxi, but I landed in water so I thought it didn't look good and I haven't had any inspiration to reland it, good job!
JustCaus3 - The boatbump2grind was so fresh, great job!
Everyone had at least 1 good stunt.
I must congratulate you SSU, keep owning ;D

Coulden't resist trying it and I bonked of that sooo many times. Freaking nuts that you sticked the landing man, freaking nuts.  :D The rest of your stuff was great aswell but the finisher is just.. just.. is there a word for it?  :hmm: Now stop landing insane boosting stuff, all my spots are lost this way if you continue  :euro:

The car stunts in here owned aswell, I'll be sure to try some of them. Turbi was great as always  :happy:

10/10 Although the editing could have had abit more, well, energetic? I know energy doesn't suit a oasis but anyway

Now.. I only sent two stunts but only one of them gets in the video whereas there were people with about 5 stunts in it. I didn't like that.  :euro:

Rusch69: I liked Argy's precision more on this spot but this was also really nice. Must've been hard to nail that little thingy. :P
sheikah: Kinda unexpected, nice idea.
PrzemOO: I love car grinds, that wallride made it perfect. ;)
Artifex: I really liked this one, that spin before the grind just made it, cool one.
MtS: As I mentioned above I'm keen on car grinds, this one was just SICK dude! ;D
MtS: The idea itself was fine, I just wish that rail would've been longer, still a nice stunt and that first cam angle is also fancy. :happy:
Kai: Very impressive way of landing that building, nice one man.
PrzemOO: This must've been hard due to the second bump I guess, stylish stunt.
MtS: Taxi boosting is also one of my favourite methods especially if it ends with a precision, amazing stunt dude.
TurBo: Good job finding a new way for that doublegrind Turbo. ;)
Rusch69: Great thinking, it's really cool to see you landing some fine (car) stunts in the VC engine too. :happy:
sheikah: I guess it was hard to grind the whole ledge, nice.
PrzemOO: Impressive usage of the hotring, also it's really nice to see a new car stunt landed at that area.
