I keep having a problem with my SA. Yesterday, I tried to install a nrg skin (with IMG tool) and just in the middle of the installation, it gave me the following error: "Unable to find DIR file!". Now, everytime I want to open gta3.img, it gives me the same error and I can't even run the game as it always crashes. If any of you ever faced this problem..I'd be glad if you could help.

Open the img tool & open gta3.img manually (file -> open).

Uncheck read-only on whole SA folder + content

i have this same problem, i was using IMG TOOL 2.0, and i had to use the bathroom, currently, i was rebuilding the archive. i closed my laptop so that no one would mess with it. when i opened it the computer had went into hibernate mode, so i had to resume it. when i logged back in, img said some sort of an error message, i tried opening gta3.img but it keeps saying "cannot find dir file! gta sa/models/gta3.dir" the strange thing is that gta sa does not use dir files, so why would it be looking for them? i also use GGMM to install mods, and that wont work either, it just gives me the message "access violated at address 007ECF4 in module 'gtainterface.dll'. Read at adress 009F7000" ive already tried unchecking "read only" in the properties option for the whole gta sa folder and forg gta3.img alone, but it does not work! is there any other way to get this fixed??
