Requirements for WR List acceptance (8/2/05)
1. Video and replay proof for all records with a screenshot attached.
2. No performance enhancing mods.

i have a thred of a 15 min wheelie with 2 screen shots of proof. i have no problem redoing it and making a vid but who actuly feels like watching 15 min of wheelie. and how the hell would i compress that shit :blink:

Speed it up, you just have to show an uncut wheelie, film it ingame and speed it up a lot, and you could just look at the hud to see the time of the wheelie?

smallbrady, the whole point of posting a vid/rep is so we can see that your record is legit. screenshots cannot prove that the person didn't use a cheat/mod.

yes. i was gonna create sub categories for records achieved on Mt. Chiliad especially, and maybe also tall buildings and hills, because it takes the fun out of trying to get a record anywhere else when those locations are all in the same category. but popular opinion seems to be that all locations should be in one unified catgeory rather than having sub categories for rotation, height, distance, etc, based on a few locations. so every location is fair game. if people eventually decide that having a seperate category for chiliad and/or other locations is a good idea then that can always be added in the future. :)

EDIT: wernt juan_salads backwards stopie records done on a bicyle? and dont you, buzzsaw, have a 26 sec stoppie from one of your vids. you could just use the distance from that and fill in the record.

Ok...I got a spin of 1129 on the Mountain Bike...I dont have a any proof...so its not gonna be counted...it was off of Mount Chiliad...anyway I dont know why i posted this...

are you sure? maybe you just haven't done a wheelie or stoppie that was long enough for an ISB. if it turns out that they never give you an ISB for quad wheelies and stoppies then i'll remove those 2 categories.

I win car distance record. No video proof, but it was a glitch anyways.
I'm working on getting everything done in SA before I do "End of the Line" (100% save). I was doing the quarry mission earlier where you have to take the dumper with explosives to the desert airstrip. When I got there, I put the bed of the truck backwards to end the mission, and got a Insane Stunt Bonus of something like 9,635 feet and a height of 93 feet. It was nuts, I've had an experience like this before with, I think, the Dozer, but can't be sure.
Oh, if you're wanting to try it out I believe it was the 4th or the 5th quarry mission.

Buzzsaw: I can confirm that the quad does not show ISB's for wheelies, and I'm pretty sure stoppies too, I did like a 10-15 sec wheelie and nothing showed.

im still working on backwards stoppies. its damn hard to get into one on flat ground. well for me anyway. i think im doing somthing wrong. anywho once i get it il be killing it. it would be awsome if someone could go down the mt chiliad roads in a backwards stoppie :D il keep dreaming

the record has been changing so frequently lately that i'm waiting for a break in the action to update it. i will update it once a day (assuming i'm around), which i think is pretty reasonable. :)

I personally dont think the 150 second backwards stoppie is going to be beat any time soon. I agree with the distance though, but I think you should update as soon as you see a new record. Someone could come in see the old record try to beat it and when ever you decide to update they find out it was a waste of time.

You cheated, and since when have cheats been allowed to help world records. Notice that theres no traffic in this vid at all :nono: This is bullshit No cheats that help world records.

Ive seen more than one record attemt with the no peds cheat plus I have the lonely mod, and didnt back up my files :( .

You dont have to say it, you should no cheating to gain an advantage in world records isnt allowed and about the other records, You can request to see video proof again + the outrageous stoppie is just obvious a glitch was used :nono:

in the rules it says only the car flies cheat is not allowed, and about the glitch, I used the slopes to my advantage, if you notice theres three slopes there each at about the same distance apart, all three gave me a boost allowing me to reach 3,000 feet.

the official, or should i say IMPLIED, rule is that stunt-enhancing cheats are not allowed. the "reduced traffic" cheat technically is not a stunt-enhancing cheat because it does not have a direct effect on the execution of the stunt. it just gets annoying shit (peds and traffic) that you have no control over out of your way so that you can concentrate on the stunt. just like when you knock down a pole or other breakable object that is in your way. almost everyone uses it when stunting and i personally couldn't care less if people use it or not.
however, if this is going to become a big issue then the only thing i can say is that maybe we should have a poll and let everyone weigh in on the issue.

ok, how about we compromise and ban the "reduced traffic" cheat for all stoppie and wheelie records since those are the stunts that this cheat has a significant impact on.

"cars fly" effects your stunts 1000x more than "reduced traffic". you can't look at this in terms of absolutes, because the cheats all have significantly varying degrees of effect.
this particular cheat (reduced traffic) is pretty much the only one that we can't all agree on. imo, as long as there is a level playing field then it really shouldn't matter. if everyone uses that cheat then all will be equal. if you choose not to use the cheat then you put yourself at a disadvantage, but at least you know you have a choice.

Glitch stoppies? what are those, never seen them. In my opinion the backwards stoppie is a glitch in its self, why else are you going to explain the straightness in which the bike travels compared to a foward stoppie, and also you can see its a glitch in the way cj pedals backwards on air when your slowing down.

i agree that "reduced traffic" has a much more significant impact on stoppies and wheelies than other stunts. which is why i'm willing to go along with a ban on this cheat for stoppies and wheelies. however, i think a ban on this cheat across the board is a little rash and impractical because it doesn't effect most stunts as much as it does stoppies and wheelies.
any cheat that gives you a clear run-up is ok, imo, and any cheat that effects the stunt itself is questionable, imo.

You can turn when your doing a backwards stoppie... and I cant show the whole stoppe because my pc is crap and i cant use fraps whilst stunting because gtasa lags. You saw the replay, you saw the time. If you wanna fly to the uk personally and watch me do it thats fine but im not using fraps when recording a stunt.

I done that stoppie style in SA Smackdown which Kaneda showed to me ages ago. If you want to and have the patience you can keep that stoppie going forever. Once you have the direction right you can lock it in (dont move your hands on the keyboard or joypad) and just keep going. I will do it but i wont give proof of it cause i doubt that people are going to want a vid of a walking backwards stoppie "moonwalk" going for an hour. I will film it for a minute. Later though... im still all weirded by that thread that SF made and i cant stop laughing.

Theres no seperate record for the nrg, I mean you can do a backwards stoppie on a fcr900, bf400, pcj600, faggio, pizzaboy, sanchez, and a police bike(havent tried the wayferer). Why would you seperate it into different categories, what i do recommend is splitting the backwards stoppie for bikes and motercycles into two sections: the straight( which is a straight stoppie no circles) and the circled, because i noticed that if you do a circled stoppie you can probably go as long as you want which isnt any fun.

the height is tricky, two weeks ago i got 96 feet but didnt get a screenshot :( . all you do is haul ass on the freeway see a car coming and time it so that you bunny hop before it hits you then it will send you high in the air.
Ill post some more records later, i beat the motorcylce wheelie distance and time records, and i also beat the motorcycle and bicycle stoppie distance records :grin: .

i got the new nrg backward stoppie record both distance and time, but i dont have proof. i got 19min and 21 sec on ps2 and the distance was 6400m or something. it really easy on ps2 coz u can hold a certain angle and with that anglt u wount lose speed and u can keep on going forever, i just fell asleep doing that record and thats why i only got 19min. but i cant imagine how u can get a 19 min proof. And its harder to do on pc with a keyboard.But i thought its worth mentioning.

i think i know what you're talking about. i realized last night that you can just accelerate enough to pull up a little and then just hold down and left/right and go in circles, without even holding the gas, and basically do a wheelie forever. i don't know about anyone else but i personally have lost interest in wheelies and stoppies because there's no challenge. you can go on and on forever sometimes, and it's more like a matter of seeing who can tolerate prolonged boredom more than seeing who has the most skill.

I agree. It's not the same as in VC (although there was a really easy way to wheelies for fucking ever with a faggio at the airport)
They just seem alot easier now with the introduction of SA's changed physics. Height, distance, rotation, flips, etc..... are much more interesting. I'm sure there's other WR's we can come up with too.

Wheelies, stoppies, BSes (Backward stoppies) should stay in the WR section, reason, they are in the VC WR section, doesn't matter how easy they are, they also shouldn't be divided between straight and circled, it's still a wheelie/stoppie/BS and that's what the record is, as long as it's not cheated, it doesn't matter how you do it. Same with the rotation record. Now, you could have an unofficial WR topic that has straight BS record, or wheelie, or whatever and that would show who has done the longest straight wheelie, it just wouldn't be in the official list.

yeah I agree, you use the same concept that was introduced in SA Samckdown, you bunnyhop right before the car hits you, if you bunnyhop at the right moment before a bump you get massive height, in this case a car, but bunnyhoping aint enough, you get such a high altitude because the car is traveling at such a fast speed.
So in conclusion, no it was not modded, very nice job dude. :grin:

what is the rule for gltiches. I found a way to wheelie the motorcycle forever without beind at the controller. Does that still count. I am having alot of trouble re-creating the glitch, though. I also think that I am the only one that has done it :)

Why would that suck? A WR is a WR, it should not depends on where it´s performed. As long there´s not cheating involved it should count.

cause sumtimes it takes so much less skill when others are trying so hard to beat a record finally beat one after 3 hours, another person comes and beats them with ease after 1 minute because the have a height advantage and they can drop more longer and further

the nitro really didn't help, fate got a 25 height one without it, but he crashed. ;)

well i havent used any mods or anything, cos im making a stunt video too, and it isnt impressive without cars! I never even heard of that mod anyway. Also, whilst playing SA on the PC, when you go fast along that road, there arent that many cars. but heres the link to the video

it seems to me that in that vid you had perfact balence the entire time wile still going full speed wich leads me to belive you are useing some sort of perfact wheelie balence mod. OR a gamepad wich allows you to wheelie forever when "lean back" and "accelerate" are both depressed. EG: the microsoft sidewinder pro. anyway nice job with it.im off to set a new stoppie time record

Most of the time the ISB messages are fuuked up. Say you did 3 pure horizontal flips, you'll get a 5 flip ISB message...

Thats well known, its what made me loose interest in the BW Stoppie record. Going in circles gives you enough momentum to keep you going for as long as you want.
Ill add it.

Also i removed a couple records that i realized never had proof to back them up. Another thing is that theres to sections to for the rhino. So, come on people start breaking records.

That's awesome, great job.
I think you should change something though. Right now there's a wr called "overal height", but it isn't the record for the overal height. Change it to natural bump height or something instead.

yeah, agree with turtle dick. It ruins the fun out of 'the fun' I mean I got 800 and something highest distance and it wasn't from mt.chillad or the highest point in SA nor any big areas. I just bumped into a rock with a hotring racer and flew far . Although, I forgot the exact location but I can tell you it was around the LV Deserts

A lot of times this is a SACC problem... You must open SACC, otherwise the game crashes.
Happens if you record the rep when the Control Center is opened.

I did better slim , and here is what i did juan
1. Teleported right to the very back of the runway, and did rad method
2. Leant forward approx 2 seconds before bump, and then krailed, landed near very top of crane but bumped into something and did another krail, then landed with 153ft height and 480ft distance
3. I took a screen of the ISB, then I pressed F1 to record, as rad said in unprovable 183ft thread that i should have pressed f1 before i saved, so i tried it and worked
4. Went to save rep and get this message *gta-sa.exe has crashed, blah blah blah*
5. Edited video and put screeny at the end
6. Uploaded

kilak, the point of having cabbie/taxi WR's is because of the cabbie/taxi wallboost ability. Jumping off Chiliad is pointless because it doesn't involve a wallclimb.

Dont know if thise will count but i got a 190ft+ bump, without a piccy of the ISB, since i landed in water. The French Touch/Amped 2 roof is 120ft high and i got at least 60ft higher than that so must be pretty close to 200ft mark. I have a video and rep though

That was obv done with FL off DC . Seriously I think that, also I have beaten that record, but if you land in water it doesnt count does it, I teleported to land to get my ISB, but obv that doesnt count, nor does landing in water.

my island landing just north of this in Underestimated used the technique of coming out of RAD's and leaning straight into the bump. The rail i bumped was the same as the one DC just hit and i got 100ft of height and 443 feet distance but DC probably took runup from the whole San Fierro and I didn't. If you hit the bump slightly to the right you could land on the land and not die in the water...

If you don't like any particular category then just ignore that category. It won't bite you. Feel free to suggest additional categories. :)

I just fixed the WHOLE of the first post code, it used to be coded in a way which was buggy and crap, 2 hours work and a re-write has made it alot easier for me to edit for you guys! This probably isn't very significant to you but im happy I got it fixed, running this is goooood, also fixed that guys name before me.
