I love hip hop, I mean real hip hop, the good stuff you don't hear on the radio. I figured I should post this song since well, it's probably one of the best tracks in hip hop, one of those songs everyone should listen to. This song is called "Won't Do" by the late great, (greatest of all time, in fact) J Dilla.

I could post all kinds of old school hip hop tracks but this song is a masterpiece. J Dilla is the greatest hip hop producer that ever lived and he unfortunately died from a rare blood disease when he was entering his prime. Enjoy and post your comments. And one more thing , hip hop is the culture , the music is rap. What you hear on the radio or watch on the TV isnt rap music , its some mainstream shit. There are few people who are known and keep the rap how it should sound and rap about artistic and different stuff and not money bitches and mansions.

nice, I saw some quality tracks posted up in this thread. If you like MF Doom check out MF Grimm AKA GM Grimm the Grandmaster. Doom wouldn't be here if it weren't for Grimm. But then he backstabbed grimm and it's a shame.

Now I am not really as involved into the hip hop scene as I am into punk/ hardcore, at least here where I live since there a lot of douche bags listening to something they call hip hop. Anyway, I do have a few artists from the hip hop genre that I really appreciate.


Atmosphere, their lyrics are actually really deep and meaningful, well, at least to me.
