So, I've been following this game now and then when there's some new info about it and today this video got released. For those of you who know nothing about this game; it's Rockstar's newest game where you become a detective and have to solve cases. They used a new camera technology to capture actors faces and put them almost straight into the game, taking interrogation scenes to a whole new level. Take a look for at the video and you'll understand soon enough:
L.A. Noire - Gameplay video serie: Orientation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG13Fdl2Fkk#ws)
I think it looks like a really great game and something completely new. Really looking forward to this.

Doesn't look like anything amazing. But the story line would probably be pretty good.
Looks alot like IV set in the same time as Mafia II and in L.A.
-
looks totally awesome to me.
i`d love to try it out :>
-
Been keeping tabs on this myself and it's fascinating to think that facial expressions will play a role in this game, for you to try and see if someone is lying to you or not. Sadly it's hard to see this game having much replay value though, if it's just a detective kind of game - once you do it first time won't it be too easy any future times?
I'll probably still get it!
EDIT: Just watched video - at 0:40 I thought he meant threesomes.
-
Been anticipating this, can't wait :P. Looks vaguely stuntable too :ninja:
-
i want it so badly yet i don't have console to play it
-
I... need.. to.. PRE ORDER THIS NOW!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
-
Mafia II + Fahrenheit (or Heavy Rain). Looks great!
-
Holy motherfucking shit, I can't stop smiling at the conversations, it's so real I can't believe it! This is something far beyond everything else :a-cheer:
-
looks interesting for me :jajaja: :a-cheer:
-
the first Rockstar game in a while that actually interests me, because it doesn't seem they're making GTA again exactly.
-
Check this out, it's so damn amazing:

omg I didn't even know about this game until now. That was amazing.
-
Felt this needed a bump :P not sure whether I'll be able to get into it or not.. too many australian actors that will pull me out of the world me thinks :/
Also slightly off topic, some of you know I went to a games college to look at a course but I don't think I mentioned that I met one of the devs for this :P
-
I JUST HATE THIS FUCKING SHIT WHEN A GAME DOES NOT APPEAR ON PC :( Would be an epic game.... Should I seriously buy a console because of this... :hmm:
-
Interesting.. The missions here look 100 times better than the IV ones. And if there are possibilies of getting my stunt on then this game would be just brilliant. Graphics look pretty messed up though, er..
Now let's wait another 6 months until they announce the PC release because they want more munnies.
-
Thanks for bumping.
Looks epic and I hope it's also freeroam.

they're not going to release a PC version and there's gonna be no stunting in the game.

Watch me
-
nvm
-
Watch me
(they would have released RDR if they were going to continue with PC versions bro :P )
-
For now
The game is looking promising to say the least and the fact that Rockstar just might release a Red Dead Redemption PC version, thus making the game accessible to a wider audience, is more great news.
They're releasing more and more games for PC which were originally only meant for console :ajaja:
-
BEMP
FUCK YEAH I BOUGHT THE GAME TODAY AND IT IS FUUUUUUCKING AWESOME!!! ;D :cheernutz: :jajaja: ..haven't even played for 2 hours hehe.
It's HUUUGE, and it came with THREE discs! I can't wait to find out what I'll be needing the other two for :O
So, who else got it?
-
I've got it and the game is so big you need 3 discs because it doesn't fit on 1 or 2 ;p
and imo its awesome, its fun to be a cop for once ;p
-
I certainly do not hope that each disc takes 190 mb of space? :o I have 200 or something, had to delete the other games to make it work.
On 360 that is.
-
Great game but no stunting! :(

So Rockstar is hiring PC developers to specifically develop PC games because they are not going to continue to develop PC games? My brain now hurts.

Great game but no stunting! :(
Lies, I've found a method which you need to be very lucky to recreate, along the lines of what Darkstar said :P. Bonks are also possible to an extent, and bumps, but the speed of the cars sucks for stunting and the game uses Havok physics :P

I can't get my capture thing to work since I'm on Windows 7, and I'm busy getting something ready so I can't for now :P
-
Had this game for a whole week - finished it in 2 days, tried replaying it, didn't enjoy the lack of replayability about it and swapped it for Portal 2 :)
Great unique game...but it's one to rent really.
