Title: Alien City Stunting Friendly Release

Hey guys! I've noticed that a lot of people are having trouble getting Alien City to work with San Andreas, so I decided to make things a whole lot easier for everyone. Simply download the mod from the link below, and extract the 'GTA Alien City' folder to any location on your computer. Then, copy the audio folder from your existing San Andreas installation into the Alien City directory. To play the game, use the 'gta_sa' executable file to open Alien City, and then click on 'new game' to start playing. To play on San Andreas Multiplayer, use the 'a1_mp' executable file to open it up. All files are exactly the same as the default San Andreas versions (apart from the map of course), so there's no need to worry about custom vehicles or modified handling files.

This modification also includes Dannye's Ultimate SCM Mod for Alien City, but there's a problem. When you start the game, you will spawn in mid-air, and you won't be able to see the map until you die. The only way you can fix this is by committing suicide. You can easily do this by spawning a parachute (type "AIYPWZQP" ingame), enabling the jetpack by pressing 'C' on your keyboard, and then pressing the 'jump' key. This will kill your player, and respawn you in Alien City. Disable the jetpack by pressing 'C' again once you respawn. If that doesn't work, you'll have to parachute down to the bottom of Alien City, and die when you hit the ground. You can accelerate this process with a trainer by teleporting to the ground after spawning a parachute. Thanks to Nauthiluz for this trick. Another problem is that there are also one or two animation bugs in Alien City. For example, you start dancing when you enter a faggio/pizzaboy, which may be quite exciting, but can also be particularly annoying. Like I said, I've already fixed that, that's why it's called a 'stunting friendly release', and says that "all files are exactly the same as the default San Andreas versions (apart from the map of course), so there's no need to worry about custom vehicles or modified handling files".

EDIT: Looking for a solution to your problem MqtH.
EDIT 2: Temporarily, backup your 'StreamMemFix.asi' and move it, then try running the game with it and tell me if it works :)

today i just installed it and when I press new game only the CJ appears falling and falling and falling from the sky!
And there's only sky, anything else!

I hope someone can fix my problem :S

Found a way to make CJ appear in the AC map, which SS posted in the topic. Just use the parachute bug by using the parachute cheat and kill yourself so you will be respawned in the map :P.

I got the same thing when switching onto my new PC Cookie, I don't know if there actually is a trojan in that or not but you need it to run the game. I wouldn't be surprised since I downloaded the baseline folder from a post on GTAForums, so the guy could have added it himself. I switched my hlm-intro.exe with the one from the original download and that didn't sound an alarm, so who knows.

EDIT: In fact I just tested two official Alien City downloads and they both have WS.Reputation virus in them too, :hmm:

I don't get the whole parachute deal, it's faster to use the dannye's jetpack down. Thing is though, when I make it down there's nothing there. It's solid, but invisible somehow.

Can someone upload a savegame so we don't have to deal with this?

When you jetpack down no objects will load. All you have to do is spawn a parachute and wait until you die (it only takes 1 minute to reach the ground), then you will respawn with objects. If your so impatient that you cant wait that long just delete the game  :|

I've signed up to gtaf again under a different name though only so I can get in contact with people when need be :lol: so I'll talk to deniska and see if he has any solutions to the problems, knowing stunting versions of things, this is probably an old version anyway so perhaps a later version plus the scm?


Oh and unrelated but good idea SS with needing to copy over the audio folder, doesn't work with VC but turns it from warez into legal :) *if I or anyone else gets a decent solution to that, post so in here and I'll delete the crap and link it in the 'mods and tools' topic

Tried Alien City for the first time yesterday and I'm shocked, really. Amazing city, great feeling and incredibly fucking fast vehicles! I love the fire nitro  ;D
100% sure I won't stunt like we do in it, I find it more appealing just to fuck around with the nitro and do insane jumps :P Great job SS and the creators of this!

Well I don't think there's a version released, you'd have to change the spawn point of the gamepad version to somewhere in Alien City but I don't know how :P

Some people including me have that issue, I don't know what the problem is. Like mentioned earlier in the topic one of the required exe's to run the mod shows up as a trojan horse in some anti virus programs (including mine), so your anti virus program may have deleted that automatically. I'd advise against running the mod for that reason unless there's another way of getting it to work :P

Update: Massive bump, I decided to reinstall this so I searched for the original source of the hlm-intro.exe that shows up as a virus. Turns out it definitely is a trojan. The original source is a pirated version of GTA San Andreas, it's meant to be a patching file to make a nocd file. Since I downloaded my version of Alien City as a whole folder rather than the installer (it didn't work for me) the original owner left this file in. Uploading a fixed version of the rar without this file. Please delete this file if you've already downloaded the mod, or download the new version when it's uploaded.

My mouse usually doesn't work in any GTA unless I click escape 1 quadrillion times but in this mod it doesn't work no matter how many times I do it. I know you probably can't solve it but does anyone know a solution?

Sorry for doubleposting but I'm having some issues. When saving a replay it crashes everytime I watch it but if I restart the game and watch it I can see the replay but only about the last 3 seconds of it. I realized this after landing something which is really annoying.

Does anyone know some way to fix this?

Fixes

1. Try deleting gta_sa.set file from the GTA San Andreas User Files directory in My Documents. This will reset all of your settings including your controls, so keep a backup of this file. San Andreas will create a new file when you reload the game, see if this fixes the problem.
2. Delete the StreamMemFix.asi from your Alien City folder and try loading the game, this could fix the problem but I don't think Alien City will work without this file.
3. Reinstall Alien City without applying any modifications. This should prevent any issues from happening.
4. Delete your 'GTA San Andreas User Files' directory, there could be issues with saving files to this folder. You could test this by trying to create a document in Notepad and saving it to this folder. San Andreas will create a new folder when you reload the game, see if this fixes the problem.

Update: Fixed some bugs and reuploaded the mod. Click here (http://www.multiupload.co.uk/X7KNPNKZVL) to download it. If you've got an old version of the mod, remove your Alien City folder, download the new version, and follow the installation instructions again.

Changelog

• Fixed the FCR vehicle type (no longer handles like a freeway).
• Minor bug fixes.
• Removed shovelware files included with the official mod.

After removing a bunch of unnecessary files, I've found that the 'boost script' is located in the main.scm. If anyone knows how to remove it (and perhaps fix the spawn bug), please PM me. I'll add your fixed script to the mod and upload it again.

copy the whole link - gtastunting doesnt allow for some reason like the Alien City - Stunting Friendly Version.zip at the end aswell

But when I remember a packer as example it will dissappear.
I know many people said this, and the 'solution' was not remembering it, I've tried that but it will again dissappear. Any solutions for this now?

The download links in the first post should still work, but I can't test at the moment since I don't have a working PC right now. Make sure to download Prog's fixed version of Dannye's Ultimate Stunter's Main SCM for Alien City though, I haven't tried it but it supposedly fixes the spawn issue mentioned in the first post, as well as fixing the remember vehicle function, and removing Alien City's fire boost :).
