Post by: BG hitman on December 23, 2010, 12:45:06 PM: well i installed both of the programs but it's laggy as bad as the fraps. Maybe it's because of my OLD PC it's properties are (i also had alot of free space so this won't be a problem too)

512 ram
258 video card
1.61 GHz

i don't know is this the problem

so waiting for more suggestions :P

Post by: VaNilla on December 23, 2010, 03:43:24 PM: Go to the controls list in half life, then go to advanced and 'enable developer console'. Press the console button, and type 'record DEMONAME' to record a 'demo' of the game (a replay). This can last for an infinite amount of time, and causes little to no lag. When you want to finish recording, type 'stop'. Then, you will find your demos in the 'hl' folder of half life, which can then be recorded with whatever you want, but generally exported uncompressed out of the game as 'TIFF' frame files to be merged with VirtualDub later :)
