Title: NRG installing problem
Post by: Kukiel on December 23, 2010, 05:21:41 AM
Hey. I have my SA back but i suffer from some problems. I still have 60 fps for some unkknown to me reason but whatever  :P I can't properly install nrg tho. I haven't done that in a while so maybe im doing something wrong. I put both .txd and .dff to gta3.img using imgtool. It did install but hmm how to explain it. Under the tribals and stuff it has original white+color stripes. I might post a picture if needed. Anyone know what am i doing wrong?  :cheersad:

A reason why your FPS is stuck at 60 frames may be that your V-Sync is activated. Just try deactivating it in your grafic card options.
Your second problem is easy to solve. Just open the carcols.dat and search for NRG500. Change the line to the following: "nrg500, 1,1". The colour of the bike will always be white so your skins look good ;).

Thank i will check it out in a second. The FPS problem is by far deeper :P Its not stuck on 60fps. Its just i used to get 60fps on my old pc and now i get 60-80 on a new one. But man, now i have 2 cores more and 3 gb more. Plus windows 7. I was expecting over 100 tbh. For example i used to have 60-100fps in css. Now it doesn't get below 250fps.

Try setting the grafic options to low to see if it's really the game keeping the fps down.

60-70 highest
80-90 lowest

Well you have to set the grafics down then. Also try changing the resolution to 16 bit.

I want to enjoy playing  I'd rather play with 60fps highest than 100fps on lowest. Nonetheless what is the line for black in carcols?
