So, I do what the videos, threads from other sites, and what people tell me, but it either end up
A: Crashing.
B: Not go through.
or C: Become glitched up (I tried to make a radioactive bike with radiation sign rims, and a yellow frame with green splatter marks, and a red stripe across the fork. It looked pretty sick from TXD workshop, but it made my whole BMX bike white. I spent an hour making it)
I ask for a lot here, and I like to thank everybody for being so kind to me, but now I just need a list of instructions >_> Just like making a lego set (nice synonym, aye xD)
From step 1, to how ever in depth and all.
I saw one thread saying how to, but I followed it to make a Hitler overcoat (Looked pretty sick, no dought) but that even made it crash, so that clothing is screwed up, just until I backed it up ofc.
I am a newb, i know. I am just getting sad on how fuckin' awesome my stuff is, but juist doesnt turn out!
When I make my stuff, I promise to thank you in my video of my skins I make! <3

I learned how to do skins without any help.

Want a cookie =]
But come on, I am being serious. I have no idea whats going on! I rebuild the archives, I back up the .dff and .txd files, I replace them, I have tried .png, .tga, and .bmp for the pics when exporting them out to GIMP. Like wtf. I just need some help.
Luli, I saw your work, and I really like it, could you, as a skilled skinner, help out a nublet like me, I will highly thank you! Then... Once I feel that I am good enough, I wanna verse you in a Skin-Off

Which version of IMGTool and TXDWorkshop do you use? And for making bikes/cars, use GGMM. It's installed sooner + you get a preview of how it looks like and you can check every angle.
I always use png but for the alpha use bmp.
anything else? your posts are a bit confusing too :P

Lol, sorry Suspicious!
I have been on lots of sites, and seen lots of videos on using IMG Tool and TXD Workshop. I do what they do, and I dont succeed. I am asking if someone could list the steps in number format on start to finish, including names of programs and such so me and other skinning noobs can follow them.
I am using IMG Tool 2.0 and for TXD Workshop, idk. I am pretty sure it is current, because I have managed to get some skins into GTA SA.

My "Radio-Active" BMX bike... Features BAD QUALITY because of MSPaint (Fail from resizing, and wasnt worth to be edited on GIMP y'know)

Problem?

Send me the .txd so I can take a look at it.

same as him.

I'd say you changed the model or txd a bit, that only hapens when the texture is missing from the txd, if you've renamed the image in there then that's why.
open your txd, go to file then dff check and use your dff, if any are missing then fix it up.

Here is the .txd of the bike.
I have backed up everything except for the bmx bike, so could someone send me a download link direct to the bike.txd and bike.dff.

The solution to your problem is that you wanted to edit the texture file for the bmx which is the bmx.txd not the bike.txd. So the bike.txd doesn't match the bmx.dff which caused the white parts of the bike. Just get the bmx.txd and edit it again to get your skin to work.
I hope this helped you a bit.

So, I made sure that I replaced the files, last time once I accidentally pressed the extract one. Made SURE of it. Both .dff and .txd files. I rebuild my archive, and all. Lemme try this one more time.
