why would it be? don't be retarded, the only way slipknot would end if they stopped being relevant and I'm pretty sure they still are, so you can still look forward to your shitty nu metal for a while yet.

and rip I guess but eh

Watch the video at the end of the link you posted, they've replaced guys since day 1 so I highly doubt it'll be the end.

And yeah I'm hardly a fan of slipknot, can't stand any songs but the guys are all decent players and actually decent dudes.

Paul gray is one of the founders of Slipknot and they allready said in some interviews about this.Like when they asked Sid if they would make a new CD and he said: 'If we all stay alive until then , yes.'SO i think im not the retarded here lol.

Quote
Paul Gray, the bassist for the Grammy-winning metal band Slipknot, was found dead Monday morning in his Des Moines, Iowa, hotel room, according to police. He was 38.

Gray's body was found by staff members at the TownePlace Suites, said Sgt. Dave Disney of the Urbandale Police Department.

An autopsy, including toxicology tests, will be performed Tuesday, Disney said.

Gray was arrested in Iowa in 2003 on drug possession charges when police found small amounts of marijuana, two syringes and a substance that field-tested positive for cocaine after he was involved in a wreck with another motorist.

Slipknot -- whose fans are affectionately known as "Maggots" -- was formed in Des Moines in late 1995 and became immediately recognizable for the dark and often grotesque homemade Halloween masks its nine members wore on stage. The band won a Grammy award in 2006 for best metal performance for "Before I Forget."

Slipknot's self-titled debut album went platinum in 2000. Its fourth album, "All Hope is Gone," spent 69 weeks on Billboard's Top 200 charts, debuting at No. 1 its first week in 2008.

Seriously Sweet, shut up.. Your additude is pissing me off, fucking hater.

Well, this is really damn sad.. I'm a huge fan of Slipknot and it really sucks to hear this, even worse that it's an original member. Slipknot will not be the same with a new member, and I actually hope that they put the band Slipknot to the side, since they've had the same line-up for more than 10 years.

Really sad for the metal all over the world, he was a really good musician and he will be missed.

Rest in peace Paul Gray!

@Sweet: I don't know exactly what kind of music you like but according to the videos you've edited the music used on them stands somewhere around a couple of hundred levels below the music Slipknot produces.

Sounds pretty harsh replacing the bassist with another one a day after he passes, but I'm glad they still continued. Rest in peace.  ;D

haha what the hell. yep, orchestras should bow down before the might that is slipknot, for sure.

a clarification if you will: I feel sorry for his wife and kid but not this guy

Sweet, he wasn't that bad you know but eh your posts made me laugh (as always)
Well, in my eyes that's a pretty sad story, that's tragic for his family but also for the band. Rest in peace :/

EDIT:
@Mythic: I would call the kind of music Sweet listen more "technical" compared to Slipknot. And he DO have great tastes, sometimes weird, but still great, trust me.
