Well it depends on whats the stunt. If you need more distance try bumping the rear wheel. If you need more height try bumping somewhere between the front wheel and the engine (correct me if im wrong)

Its all about practice  :P You will get used to VC engine in no time

If you wanna go high, move the packer closer. Wanna go far, move it further away. Should be obvious, but took me some time from when I first began to stunt to realize  :P

Also if you want distance AND height, create what makes for a small bump. Bumping with the 'back wheel' is usually pretty lame

What happens to me its pretty random.

You have 3 Options:

1. You bail
2. You do an average bump
3. You for no reason get such a bigair.

Daffy told me the way ti them when I asked him before is, you need to hit it like high bump for high air. You need to make it so that when you hit the bump, the bump goes through the bottom of the front wheel and hit the engine. Also, you should press forward right as you hit the packer, and lean back right as you hit the bump.

Keep in mind too that, like a lot of stunts and stunt types, sometimes you just won't get what you're looking for out of the spot. Some spots can just be prickish like that. The best thing to do for practice would be to try stuff you've seen in vids already - at least you know they're possible.

Post by: Herb on February 09, 2010, 11:07:21 PM
Yeah, even though I do what Daffy told me, I still fail horribly at p2b's  I'll just stick to car stunts  :P

It's been such a long time since I even tried one of those I'd probably be lost. The constant nudging and resetting of the packer got on my nerves after a while

That is quite annoying. My other problem is, I can't pull up or down at the exact same time every time. So every once in a while, I'll get a radnom huge bump, then get nothing for the next few hours.

SA is too easy
It's more like VC is too fucking random when going really fast. Sure it's easy to get 160ish ft height, but when trying something higher the luck needed just exponentially increases. And if you feel SA is too easy maybe you should try something more extreme :P

And another thing, while it's easier to get bumps in SA it's a lot harder to get the real powerful ones.
As you can see in the clip I land the middle of the roof in VC but in SA I barely get on after trying for quite some time.

SA is too easy

I agree you can often bump on the SA engine, but if it's that easy try to do a 130/140ft p2b with a short run up. Each engine has his default, VC sucks at bumping but you can reach 300km/h quickly, and SA is good bumping but you can't reach 300km/h easily.

I have to say im impressed eddeman, nicely done navel in SA

As for the PB's thingy, it all depends on the spot, you cant really say on which engine its harder to PB.

Yeah first I said I can't do p2bs in VC, it's really hard after knowing the SA engine, but after 1-2 months of trying now I can say I can do higher and further p2bs, it's all about practice.

It's the only stunt I've landed in both games so it's the only comparison I could do without landing something else. I had both landed a few months ago but I only uploaded the SA clip today.
