A tutorial on blending text

Step 1: Open your signature in PhotoShop, and type your text.

Step 2: Change the blending mode of the image to Overlay or Hard Light:

Step 3: Open the Blending Options, choose Drop Shadow and use these settings:

Step 4: Ensure the text layer is selected, then navigate to Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal All. Your layes pallete should look like this:

Step 5: Press D], then select the gradient tool (Uncheck "dither"). Create an angle like so:

Step 5: Done! Here is my outcome:
