Post by: KillaMarci on July 14, 2008, 02:54:40 PM
Hey guys
I was just playing CS 1.6 and noticed that it started to lagg more and more , even my windows lagged. So I restartet my PC and got an error message saying the file"SYSTEM"  doesn't exist or is corrupt. I tried to boot from the original windows CD to repair the file.

1st. Boot Device : DVD-Rom
2nd. Boot Device : Floppy
3rd. Boot Device : My HDD

But it always tries to boot up from my HDD and I have no idea why? And no I didn't forget to save the changes in BIOS , I tried it many times but nothing..

Help?

bye bye replays btw...

Oh shit, wait i can help u with the DVD-Rom i have the same prob but i fix it today.

--
I dunno but try this,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

fixmbr

fixboot

bootcfg /rebuild

Dann sollte dein Windows wieder laufen.

And you could try the Winrows Repair Installation first. Yes, there is that kind of option at the start..

Try getting into BIOS and setting the DVD drive as the first one on the boot list or whatever, if you havn't already done that.
