An easy to follow tutorial on creating a simple abstract signature
--------------------
Step 1:
Open PhotoShop (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/index.html) and create a new document (Ctrl + N), using the following settings (You're size can differ from mine):

Step 2:
Press D to revert the current colours to default, like this (The red colours are before, and the black and white after):

Step 3:
Navigate to Filter > Render and choose Clouds. The outcome will look something like this:

Step 4:
Navigate to Filter > Sketch and select Graphic Pen. You can adjust the settings if you want, I kept mine default. The outcome will look like this (Yours might be different if you changed the Graphic Pen settings):

Step 5:
Navigate to Filter > Blur and select Radial Blur. Choose the following settings (Adjust them if you wish):

The outcome will be around this, It may differ if you have changed settings:

----All following steps are optional, although I advise you to follow them----
Part 6:
Navigate to Image > Adjustments and choose Variations. You can personally choose your own colours, here are my settings:

Here is my outcome after colour settings (I modified the signature with a lighten layer and colour balance):

Nice tutorial!
Well written, very good for learning the basics of Photoshop..
This could also be a very good basic for advanced signatures
