Title: Capture card probs
Post by: KillaMarci on May 26, 2008, 09:20:41 AM
Hey guys
I bought a capture card. Installing it was pretty easy

Now I put the YELLOW  cable of the Xbox360 into the capture card and installed the drivers and the program

 Whats wrong?

Sorry for a short bump but what's the quality on that thing? Better than a capture card?

I'm gonna ask a thing too, instead of opening another thread. I have a (pretty old) capture device and after like 20 mins of playing the screen starts to lag and gets stuck. Should i buy a newer capture card? I'm not an expert about that it might be too old for some games.

Also, which is a good software to capture and record the video on computer screen.

KillaMarci, could you please tell me how you solved the problem? I'm actually gonna buy a capture card myself and I linked DeathCobra a capture card and he said it was the exactly the same as yours, and that you use an HDTV cable (like me).

So how did you solve the problem (in case I get the same problem)?

Weelll I didn't actually solve the problem. I need to play over VLC Media Player right now , and it tends to lag a bit + I need to record all my stunts using fraps so it laggs even more  I'll need to buy a composite cable (the one DC has) to be able to use the programm which came with the capture card.
If you want to play with VLC just click on file -> Open some thing which is able to record stuff from the TV (don't know what the heck's the word called in english  )

And StormyWormy : The quality is great actually , max. 756x540 (or something like that) resolution though. If you want more you'll need to buy a muuuuuuuuuuuuucchhh more expensive capture card , but yeah I'd say it's alright for console videos .

I got a question too. I just bought a capture card. Only I didn't realise my PC didn't have a USB 2.0, so it doesn't work =/ Is there a way to maybe, boost my USB so I can use it? Or I'm gonna need to buy a 2.0 or something ?
