Unfortunately, do you think XP would even be capable?

I heard it's going to [eventually] require Vista or OS X Leopard. [or other equivalent?]

Vista seems pretty logic, since XP can't run DirectX 10 and I guess you'll need that.

the old gta's have taken 6-7 months to release onto PC.

according to the link at the top its 6 months away.

as ex dx msdn mod I never heard of such a thing. So its either a whole new idea or just stupid rumors

Not fake, it says a date...

It wouldn't be clever by R* to announce a pc version yet and the only people who could give an estimated rel. date are their developers, and they didn't mention anything yet. So its hoax.
Don't listen to stores or w/e. All of the big fan-pages get a email which announces the release date of upcoming games.

The graphics on gta 4 aren't that good, you can play crysis on xp so you can easily play gta4.
