"Major changes have been made to the [vehicle] handling," GM continues. "So it's much more difficult to chuck a top-of-the-range motor around a right-angle by jamming on the handbrakes.

"It's much more realistic, making the faster cars and bikes more difficult to control and the difference between models more noticeable. It still felt fun but don't rely on that handbrake when cornering."
Thoughts? Opinions? Looks like we are in for a major change in how vehicles handle, maybe for the better. (Well I hope anyway)

I don't know. Good for the regular game, bad for stunting in my eyes.
-
Gah, TD will have a blast.
-
Oh noes! An inside joke.
-
sounds fun!
-
bike drifting ! yay!
they maybe change carcols and stuff into 1 so its hard 2 change
we just stick to the classics then
-
The GTA are part of the few games where we can make two wheels, so I hope it will be possible in GTA4
-
"But you can see people actually driving their cars and hear what they're playing on their stereo as you drive past."
-
Sounds like stunting shall remain on VC and SA, and maybe some people will start relasing drift videos
-
Hopefully the speeds are realistic this time. I was not pleased when I found the Turisimo, which is modeled from the Ferrari F-40 reaching speeds of only 240kmh.
Anyways things like this we need to pay attention to:
Niko can lose health when your car takes a pounding
That could easily cripple stunting.

Health cheats....I mean we use them now to prevent our vehicles blowing up....cripple stunting? You got to be kidding me

Ye if this is gonna cripple stunting^^, then i doubt im buying it rofl, its the whole reason i bought SA for ps2 on the first day of the release

I am buying GTAIV for my 360 to play the game because it will be amazing regardless, i might do some stunting but will wait for the PC version before starting in earnest, like with SA it will be the PC version of the game that will allow for proper explorations into how stuntable it is
I mean I laugh at comments about GTAIV being unstuntable and remember people saying the same about SA *after* playing the ps2 version (AFTER?)
Even so, I figure they would not make that feature too prominent purely because it would disturb the game's flow if it did. It probably would only be a factor when the vehicle is moving a high speeds....this would mean that slower more precision based stunting might be the style that emerges from the game?
-
Yeah I remember people saying how unstuntable VC will be (BEFORE?) playing GTAIII. It was pretty insane.
-
Wait, you DO know that IV might not be released for PC (since the graphics would be too demanding)? o_O
-
Just change the handling to the VC/SA one
-
Hm...This looks kinda cool...

"Other neat tweaks include a cinematic mode which slows time to a crawl on the fly and can be used at anytime in the game, making it easier to do things like slip through rush hour traffic at high speeds..."
"Yeah, the cinematic, slow-mo camera is available in any vehicle..."
(From PGTA. First post from an online preview, second from a fella at Rockstar)

Aww, now it looks as if R* are copying Driver : Parallel lines

They said VC would be un-stuntable and then they were proved wrong when little stunting methods were found and used constantly. VC stunting has and keeps producing great things, same with SA, it was said to be un-stuntable, but again, methods were found and to this day SA stunting is still blowing people away. So if they say GTA VI will be un-stuntable, thats great, it just means stunting will get to prove more people wrong by finding more methods and more ways to improve. I look forward to a PC release.
-
well again, it has taken long time to make IV and 100% changed, so maybe take some time 2 find methods and stuff
-
hi all, interenting...
